In the past three months we have contacted the BMW dealership reguarding paint chips comming off from the bumper on the front of the car. We have made multiple calls and a few trips. The first tim dealership reguarding paint chips comming off from the bumper on the front of the car. We have made multiple calls and a few trips. The first time we went to the dealer they looked at the car and told us that the paint is chipping because the bumper had been repainted. They said that they will look into their records for receipts about the paint job and that we will have to come in again when the district manager comes in at the beginning of next month. Beginning of next month we go to the BMW dealer again. The district manager tells us the same thing and that they did not find any receipts or records of the car being painted and will have to look some more at the records. A few weeks pass by and we do not hear from them. Very annoyed, we call back again and this time we have an appointment to see the pre-owned cars manager and he looks at the car. Unfortunately, the car has a new scratch on the bumper close to the area where the paint was chipping and he tells us that the paint chip is from a collision damage. When we tell him that we have not have any type of collision with the car he says its normal from tree branches hitting the car while driving or other drivers hitting the car while parking behind it. He even shows us the back of our car that has a small indentation on it from a vehicle that may have bumped and parked. Nothing can be done through them because it was not a defect on there part because the scratch on the bumper is probably due to something colliding with the car and the paint chip is due to the same thing. When we ask him why we were not informed about the bumper being repainted he tells us that they do not have to inform their customers of any paint job they may have done prior to purchasing cars from them. My advice is to always thoroghly inspect your car for everything prior to buying a floor model from this dealer. They will basically just give you the run around in the end if anything is wrong with the car you are on your own so don't waste your time with them. This will be the last BMW purchased by us. Their idea of good customer service is giving you the run around so as long as they do it with a smile, then I guess thank you so much for the run around and thank you for telling us with a smile that you guys are absolutely useless.
