I recently purchased an X5 from BMW of Mountain View, and let me tell you, their service has been nothing short of disappointing. Just two weeks after the purchase, I noticed those rear air suspension bags leaking—mind you, this issue wasn’t even flagged during their so-called “multi-point inspection.” When I raised the issue, they had the audacity to inform me that their 90-day warranty conveniently excludes this specific item. Disappointed but hopeful, I had also went with the dealership-offered extended warranty, thinking I’d be covered. Well, guess what? Even that safety net won’t catch me. Apparently, the leaks were deemed pre-existing, as if my car came with a inspection report noting the torn air bags. Despite their claim of escalating the issue, communication has been lacking. I’ve had to repeatedly inquire about updates, and it’s been six weeks since I first brought my car in for service. Still, there’s no resolution regarding whether my warranty will cover the replacement. Regrettably, I cannot recommend BMW of Mountain View to anyone based on my experience. As a result, I’m currently in the process of canceling the extended warranty I purchased when buying the vehicle. More
I have to say that your loaner cars are absolutely disgusting. Each and every car is covered with layers of dust and dirt, nasty on the outside, and worse inside, some with dog/cat hair, food, and be disgusting. Each and every car is covered with layers of dust and dirt, nasty on the outside, and worse inside, some with dog/cat hair, food, and beverage stains, and some smell like heavy smoke and curry. Most windows are fogged up and greasy from inside making it hard to drive when there is sun in your eyes, which can be a safety hazard. Maybe you can pass it on to your GM or whoever is in charge of your maintenance department to ensure they wash, vacuum, and clean these cars before handing them out to the next person. It is an absolutely poor representation of your dealership, a poor representation of the BMW brand, and its leadership. We are talking about sanitary and health issues!!!!!! I have heard people complain all the time, and your hourly employees blame the management every time blaming the GM for limiting the loaner cars to the service manager doesn't care, and the list of excuses goes on. Good on pricing. Sales and negotiation process was done professionally and with transparency, thanks to the GM (PJ) and not the saleswoman who closed. Finance dept. questionable however (I could not get myself to trust the guy at all as he made several untrue statements). More
Took my car with air conditioning problems and engine check light on for immediate service Car is just purchased used X3 from Reno Knew Wayne Chan from previous BMW cars when living in Saratoga check light on for immediate service Car is just purchased used X3 from Reno Knew Wayne Chan from previous BMW cars when living in Saratoga Mentioned his name and service person got him. He informed me that he was off on Friday and would let me know on Monday the status. Not sure of internal protocol but it is my sense that no one looked at the car until Monday. I had to call 📞 to get status. A condenser part was needed and I was told that it might be fixed Tuesday early afternoon. I showed up around 1:30 and had to wait until 3:45. Still waiting on the official paperwork to be sent to me. Even though Wayne knew I had to get back to Reno it is my strong belief he was lackadaisical in getting my car serviced. Fortunately there was a loaner that made my visit more comfortable. My car is under warranty and is only 10 days owned by me so I would appreciate the detailed service records for the service call Wayne said he would email me the records on Tuesday It’s Friday as I type this More
