Did airbag service incorrectly and refused to take responsib My X-5 had a Toccata airbag recall. Since there is not an authorized service center in my town BMW USA arranged to have the car trailered to Idaho falls for the recall. The car returned with the traction control system, antilock brake system and brake warning lights illuminated. They did not acknowledge my e-mails regarding the problem. When I contacted them by phone they refused to acknowledge that they could have done anything to affect the system and refused to allow me to have it analyzed. They refused to pay for transport (over 300 miles) but said if I brought it in they would "look at it". The BMW service manual for air bag replacement requires the battery to be disconnected. After reconnecting the battery the wheel position sensor needs to recalibrated and the system reinitialized. This was part of the airbag service and they failed to do this simple part of the published procedure. They said that their service could not have caused the brake system warning lights although the manual says otherwise. They then tried to blain the transport company. By the way the ABS and TCS are not operational if the warning lights are on and we currently have winter driving conditions in this region. Totally classless and irresponsible. More

After negotiating their offer was still inflated and they said their pricing online was a mistake and they're going to fix it Monday when the manager was back I ended up buying a car from a dealership that actually gave me their advertise price and that dealership drove me the car today so I can start enjoying it right away You would think a BMW dealership would be both transparent and 100% professional in presenting offers to clients. I am very disappointed with my experience at this dealership and for this reason I will not even bring my car over to service it even though I'm in the area often I ended up getting a car with a real leather seats and many more options for less cost and they were trying to sell me their car for. I had a 9 am appointment, so they weren't backed up. While fixing the airbag, they were supposed to do a price check for a new bumper. After being there 2 hours, they didn't have it. Promised to call me that day with the quote. Nothing. I had to call them the next day. More
