I am a middle aged female. I visited United BMW of Gwinnett on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013. When I walked in the door the receptionist looked at me and didn't say a word. I was totally ignored as I walked Gwinnett on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013. When I walked in the door the receptionist looked at me and didn't say a word. I was totally ignored as I walked around the showroom looking at cars for 15 minutes. No one offered me any assistance. None of the new car sales people made eye contact with me. As I was leaving, a young couple walked into the showroom. The receptionist immediately greeted them, and a female saleswoman rushed over to assist them. I walked next door to the used car department, where I was immediately greeted by pre-owned car salesman Ivan Reyes. He was very nice. He offered to walk with me to the new car lot. He was very helpful and informative. He was very knowledgeable about the new cars. They need him in the new car department. I run a very popular blog in Atlanta and I can afford to buy any car on the lot outright. But the new car sales staff treated me like I was invisible. When I buy a BMW, Ivan Reyes will get my business. I read other reviews elsewhere that said United BMW of Gwinnett's customer service was "unparalleled." That was not my experience. More
The customer service at United BMW of Gwinnette, Georgia is TERRIBLE! I drove over from Alabama to look at a used Honda for my daughter and I was totally ignored. I understand that you want your staff to sale new cars or BMW s, but you should also teach them the value of customer service. Please be informed, just because I inquired about the used Honda Accord, does not mean I was there for only the Honda. I have driven a BMW since 1986, since graduating from college and I am in the market for another one. Do you think I would come all the way over there for a used Honda accord? This is a customer service tip for Lloyd and Peter: BMW s sales themselves! Most BMW drivers are repeat customers and we usually already know what we want to purchase, so there is minimal selling that has to be done. Further, it is always a mistake to under estimate the value of a customer based on what they are inquiring about. Again, I was totally disappointed in United BMW of Gwinnette County. What was so appalling was Peter (German Guy) refused to even allow me to look in the car, none the less, start it or test drive the car. Basically, Peter stated that if I did not want to pay $8,000.00 - 10,000.00 for the used Honda, there was no need for him to get the keys. I stated, please let me make sure that I understand you correctly Mr. Horcicka, since I am not sure that I am willing to agree to pay that amount prior to viewing or test driving the car, you are not going me allow me the opportunity to test drive it or listen to the engine, Mr. Horcicka responded that is correct, because it is late and we are getting ready to close. Again, he assign me to a holding pattern, stating you must wait here, I have another customer. Please be informed that I had already waited an hour for Lloyd when I first arrived, then Mr. Horcicka stated that he would assist me if Lloyd did not respond and gave me his card and instructed me to call him for assistance, only to be ignored and humiliated. By the time he got to me he was totally disgruntled and exhausted because it was nearing 6:00 pm. However, I too was totally disgusted and v owed to never sat foot on that car lot again. Please be reminded, terrible customer service of this magnitude deserves to be shared so that no one will ever have to experience what I did at United BMW of Gwinnette County, Georgia. What amazed me the most was I had never experience this type of behavior at a BMW dealership before in my entire life. Trust me United BMW of Gwinnette County, Georgia, you might sale 300 cars a day or week and Audi only sales 18 a day ( according to Mr. Horcika), but at the end of the day, the customer service is the most important aspect of the business. The same 18 customers that Audi have per day, are more than likely the customers that your sales team ran away, due to poor customer service. I bought my 7-series here and have been servicing it ever since, even though the free service period is over. They always do a good job, not the cheapest, but I would like to keep my car maintained with all since, even though the free service period is over. I also like the fact that when I pick up the car, it is washed inside and out each time. Nice touch. More
Worst place to deal with. If you have to deal with this dealership and Bobby Smith. Avoid at any cost, there are many other dealership in town. Why take the risk and later cry. Stay away from it. I was looking for a used car online and found a couple of cars I was interested in at United BMW in Gwinnett. (They seemed to have an overwhelming majority of the used BMWs in town) I had asked a friend who cars I was interested in at United BMW in Gwinnett. (They seemed to have an overwhelming majority of the used BMWs in town) I had asked a friend who owns a BMW for a referral, but the guy who sold him his car had retired. I gave the dealership a call to schedule a test drive and asked to be connected to a salesman. Fortunately for me, the operator connected me to Vince Cho. Vince was very cordial, answered some questions about the car for me and we scheduled an appointment. When I arrived, Vince was extremely courteous and professional. This was my first experience with BMWs and Vince was informative and patient explaining the various functions and packages/options of the models I checked out. I told Vince I wasn't sure if I was going to go with BMW or stay with my current brand. He was pressure free and only contacted me again when the price was lowered by the dealership on the car I had originally inquired about. I ended up making two more trips to the dealership to test drive cars and finally settled on one. Vince and I agreed on what I felt was a very fair price. He promised to have the car immaculately detailed for me, have some minor scratches buffed out, and to have some upgraded floor mats and trunk liner put in the car. I completed a credit application and United got me excellent financing. When I went to pick up the car, I was amazed at the great job they had done preparing the car. It looked brand new and everything that was promised was delivered. If you are like me, you have probably had at least one bad car buying experience. However, Vince Cho was a great guy from start to finish and I would recommend him to anyone. Hopefully, the service department will be equal to the sales department. More
I started doing business w/ United BMW of Gwinnett over 15 years ago and when I visit the place now it's hardly recognizable. They've always been great to deal w/ in the service dept but the sales dept ha 15 years ago and when I visit the place now it's hardly recognizable. They've always been great to deal w/ in the service dept but the sales dept has grown far beyond anything I've ever seen. They have a huge used car inventory, by far the best selection in GA. My salesperson, Kola, has been there for 10 years and he's excellent. When I visited the other day he told me they finished last year as the #1 volume pre-owned BMW dealer in the country. Based on their inventory, I can't say I'm surprised! I just wanted to take a second to brag about their growth and thank you for the great service. I'm a United BMW customer for life! More
Worked with Vince when I purchased a Certified 5 Series. He went out of his way to make sure that I wasn't inconvienced because the car I purchased wasn't ready since it just arrived in inventory. I like how he conducted himself over the phone and I made an appointment to meet with him. It is both refreshing and a complete pleasure working with a " professional car salesperson." Mr. David Matz is an asset to the United BMW family. If in the future my friends or one of my patients find themselves in need of a car; I will recommend that they call Mr. Matz first.
