Peter, hands down, provided the best car buying experience We hate the car buying experience, HATE IT! Which is probably why we are driving very old cars. We put off looking for a replacement car to the point We hate the car buying experience, HATE IT! Which is probably why we are driving very old cars. We put off looking for a replacement car to the point that we could no longer wait so we began the "initial stages" of trying to decide what make, model and year car we actually wanted to purchase. Fast forward, two weeks and several dealerships (and salespeople) under our belt, we arrive at United BMW to "just look" at a 2011 BMW X3. Peter approached us and introduced himself. We explained that we were interested in the BMW X3 and would like to look at the 2011 model they had. The experience that followed that initial introduction is the reason why United BMW got the sale and why we felt so moved to write such a glowing recommendation of Peter. In short, we had no intentions of buying a car that day; in fact, we had pretty much settled our minds on another X3 at a competing dealership but was hesitant because of our experience with the sales staff who seemed to care less about making the sale. Salespeople are so fixated on the end result, closing the sale, that they neglect the important initial steps. The discussion, getting to know your buyer, genuinely trying to help them find the right car at the right price and providing exceptional service to facilitate that process. That is what Peter did for us! He listened to us, our concerns and the specifics of what we were looking for. He was genuine, gave excellent guidance and advice through out the entire process and he knew his product! His knowledge of the X3, and many other BMW's we discussed, was impressive and truly helpful. When it came down to agreeing on a price, Peter was instrumental in securing the best price for the car thus closing the sale. The day of closing, we arrived a little late. Peter was ready and waiting to escort us to the finance department. The final stages with the Finance Manager, Kim Cain, went smoothly. It is definitely worth mentioning that Kim also did an awesome job managing a bit of a harrowing experience with an outside lender we initially pre-approved with. She knew her stuff and knew it well. She made the financing end of the deal effortless by offering financing through another lender, at the same rate with immediate approval. Thanks Kim! After the financing was finalized, Peter had BMW hats and mugs for us and we all posed for a picture in front of our newly purchased X3. What a great day and a great experience from start to finish! A couple of days after the sale, Peter followed up with us to see if we were happy (never had that courtesy from any other dealership). I can predict with accuracy that we will be looking for Peter when we are ready to purchase our next BMW. Listen up United BMW, your a better dealership for having Peter (& Kim) on board, we will be looking for them in the future! :) More

Absolutely pathetic service - Incompetent process management My first visit: They refused to install the oil recommended in the owners manual and instead wanted to use a different oil which was less good for th My first visit: They refused to install the oil recommended in the owners manual and instead wanted to use a different oil which was less good for the engine. I had to escalate the issue to BMW NA to correct them and then they did the oil change as required. In addition they damaged my clearbra. My second visit: I had an appointment with service advisor Scott Green for Thursday March 20th to bring my car in for two pieces of work: 1) Replace Windshield (a $2000 job parts and labor) 2) Install Dinan Anti-roll bars (A $1500 job parts and labor) The original promise: I had been told when I booked this that this work would be done in 2 days so if I dropped my car off Thursday morning as scheduled, I would get it back Friday afternoon. The renege on the promise: When I spoke with Scott Green to confirm the appointment 2 days prior to the visit, he told me he would need the car for 4-5 days and it will be parked outside for most of this time. For the first 1-3 days he said the car will just be sitting on the lot until someone gets a chance to work on it. The issues: 1) they have the attitude that they are always right and the customer is always wrong 2) they have a take it or leave it mentality. 3) Scott Green refused to honor the concept of an appointment. The process of United BMW Gwinnett basically involves cars sitting around for days until someone gets to them for service. It is like Soviet era management and the absolute opposite of lean just in time management as practiced by BMW globally. The entire concept of an appointment is to take the car in just before there is schedule capacity to perform the work. What Scott was giving me wasn’t an appointment at all - it was a drop off time, after which my vehicle would wait in a queue of a few days until service. This is poor management in my opinion. The appointment time should be based on service team availability not on service advisor availability. 4) they don't look after customers car, not even a $118k car like mine. They damaged the clearbra, and on the second aborted visit their plan to store the car outside was in direct contravention for BMWs guidelines on looking after cars with the Factory Frozen Paint finish. These guidelines say you should not park the car outside for prolonged periods. Scott wanted to leave my car outside for the best part of 5 days. I don’t want my car parked outside since I have a frozen grey factory paint and BMW recommended that I should avoid parking the car outside. Nobody should do business with these people. They are incompetent. More

I absolutely hate buying automobiles due to the bad experience of dealing with salesmen and dealerships. The up sale is time consuming and tedious.
