If I could give a negative rating, I would. I have been going to BMW of Fremont for over ten years. I purchased my last BMW from this dealership and that was a great experience! Even after I have been going to BMW of Fremont for over ten years. I purchased my last BMW from this dealership and that was a great experience! Even after I moved out of the area and I pass two other BMW dealerships before BMW of Fremont, I continued to be a loyal customer because of their great customer service… until now. Over the last 2-3 years, the service has taken a complete downward spiral and after my last visit, I think it finally hit rock bottom. I made an appointment on a Saturday morning and opted to stay at the dealership while my service was being completed. I was not oblivious to the fact that I would be waiting about three hours and seeing as I had not requested a loaner in time, I understood. Luckily, there is a shopping center nearby to kill sometime. Three hours went by and I had heard from the my service advisor. I called the dealership REPEATEDLY, approximately 7-8 times choosing the option to check for the status of my vehicles, and no one ever answered. I ended up having to walk back to the dealership to personally find out what was happening with my vehicle. I arrived and spoke to my service advisor who stated it would still be about another 1-2 hours. At this point, I was about 4 hours in. After almost 8 hours, they completed the service on my vehicle. I was extremely upset and frustrated. My service advisor kept stating they were understaffed and not his fault. I explained I understood that part, but I was most upset and frustrated that at no point did he ever attempt to contact me and keep me posted about my vehicle or give me the heads up that it was going to be longer. I continuously returned to BMW of Fremont because of their great customer service and attentiveness but now I felt I was going out of my way for nothing. As I got into my vehicle to finally leave, the service light on the screen was still on. At no point while the mechanic serviced my car, or it was driven back to the front, did anyone notice the service light had not been reset? I pointed this out to my service advisor who attempted to reset the service light but was not able to. He ended up having to drive it back to the shop, replace the sensor, then bring it back. That took another 30-45 minutes. I figured, everyone has off days and maybe that was what happened here so I decided to bring my vehicle back from brake pad service. Boy was I wrong. I made an appointment at the beginning of the week for Saturday around 2pm. I immediately called the dealership to set up a loaner. The service advisor, same one as before, told me they were unable to guarantee a loaner but he would try. I explained to him that I lived in a different county and didn’t want to get stuck there for another 8 hours again like I did last time. He said he would try and let me know the following day. He called me the following day and confirmed he had secured one for me, thankfully! I arrived on Saturday to drop off my vehicle. As my service advisor was completing the paperwork he said the shop closed early on Saturday therefore I could keep the loaner until Monday when the service was completed. At no point was I ever informed that 1) the shop closes early on Saturday and 2) I would have to leave my vehicle overnight. Very important things that I feel someone should know when booking their appointment ahead of time. But thankfully, since he had secured me a loaner vehicle, it wasn’t that big of a deal. Monday came and went and I never heard from my service advisor. Not a phone call. Not a text. Nothing. Again, no communication with the customer or updates. I finally get a call Tuesday that my vehicle is ready for pickup. I finally go pick up my vehicle and waited for my service advisor to help me. I stood there for 5 minutes without being acknowledged. Finally someone else helped me. Not worth the effort to drive out here anymore. More
I appreciate the positive customer service every time I go to this dealership. There is another dealership closer to me, I am more than happy to drive to this one. go to this dealership. There is another dealership closer to me, I am more than happy to drive to this one. More
