My service advisor is Ken and he is always proactive. Last time, I did not ask for a car. He said my service would take 3-4 hours because I was having several things taken care of and gave me one. I have never had anyone do that for me before. Thanks for making me feel respected and recognizing that my time is valuable too! Always a great experience at Erhard Farmington Hills! More

Erhard Farmington Hills - CPO Purchase I have been waiting to write this review until I had the car for a month because there were some issues with the purchase that I wanted to address bef I have been waiting to write this review until I had the car for a month because there were some issues with the purchase that I wanted to address before posting and to see how the dealer handled it. I recently purchased (in mid-November 2019) a 2017 Certified Pre-Owned BMW X4 M40i. So, a high-end luxury vehicle at the top of the BMW chain. My expectations were for a white-glove experience compared to other brands and this isn't what happened. First, I requested to have the vehicle transferred to Bloomfield (also Erhard - same owner) for the purchase because I had worked with a salesmen over there already and wanted to give him the sale given he was so kind to me. It was also five minutes away from my house versus 35 minutes away for Farmington. I was told that even though they are both Erhard, the two dealerships do not trade CPO vehicles; only new. Many weeks later after I took Ramzy (my sales associate) at his word on this and proceeded, I confirmed with multiple people at Bloomfield that this was not true. This left a bad taste in my mouth, but que sera. When I took possession of the vehicle, there were multiple dents in the driver side panel, a key fob that was not tested/programmed (it did not work at all), and a recurring red always-on alert (that the salesmen new about and had actually pointed out to me) about a need for a brake flush service to be performed. When I inquired about all three of these things a day after purchase, I was told the dents weren't their problem, the key fob just needed a new battery, and the brake flush was no big deal and could be ignored (I had thought this would be addressed on purchase). The dealer's management acquiesced on the dent (a very minor replacement) after some back-and-forth, and ultimately agreed that the fob hadn't been programmed correctly (a new battery did not solve it), and that the brake flush could not be ignored because it was a recurring message that can only be turned off with service. After many back-and-forths and "management reviews" and a lot of my time, they finally agreed to fix all of the issues with Sales footing the bill to Service and more inconvenience to me. That's fine, all is well that ends well. Service was excellent and did everything that was requested at no charge, so I am thankful for that. They are not being reviewed here. A few weeks later, I got another recurring (red and constant) Service Alert saying I needed to have the car in for its annual(ish) service. I have owned this car for less than a month, and I'm now 10 hours deep in messages/calls, going out of my way to bring it back to Farmington for the first set of issues, without the car for a day (loaner was provided), and now my car is going to need to me to spend a bunch of money to service this newly "certified" vehicle? Sorry, but nope. At this point, I didn't bother to work with Farmington (Sales) again. I was frustrated and they were way out of my way. I wrote Bloomfield a letter detailing things here, they reviewed it, invited me in, did the service at no charge and apologized profusely for how my experience went at Farmington. The service there was great, too. Again, this review is not about service at either location. I will be sticking with Bloomfield going forward. I am not one to write critical reviews, but I really didn't think this experience was representative of the brand or many others who I've known who've purchased BMWs (new or CPO). More
