Upon arriving at BMW of Darien I was somewhat nervous that I would be judged upon walking in. However, I was welcomed and greeted by a smiling Sales Associate named Sal Marino. He escorted me to his de that I would be judged upon walking in. However, I was welcomed and greeted by a smiling Sales Associate named Sal Marino. He escorted me to his desk and before looking at any cars, Sal began to tell me about himself and his overall knowledge of the business; which put me at ease. Sal was very attentive and allowed me to express all the 'must haves' I was looking for in a BMW. During the same time frame, his team reviewed my Jaguar that I wanted to trade in. They were very professional and honest/fair about the trade-in value. After reviewing a few BMW's that fit my criteria, we went for a test drive. Sal was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions, even if some seemed obvious. Tom Samperi joined in on my BMW search to advise what options I had with my trade-in, how the process would work in getting a used BMW and how they (Sal and Tom) were working to keep me at my monthly payments. Tom was very professional and sensitive to my situation. Anthony Martinez was the last man I met with that day. He shared with me a little about himself and what his role is in the final process. In short Anthony worked his magic, talked with BMW financial, was able to lower my APR %, factor in a 3 year warranty on the used BMW X5 I had chosen and was able to get me approved and right on budget. My new 'used' BMW X5 would be ready for pickup the following day. Vladimer advised me that my X5 would undergo a full check, oil change, detail job etc... BMW provided me with a 2011 loaner and my X5 was ready for pickup on schedule the next day. Overall, the staff was completely personable, knowledgeable and professional. I have already started referring BMW Darien to my peers and I cannot stop gloating about my BMW X5 and team who supported me in getting my dream car. Thank you JRave More

Over several visits he walked me through the 5 series providing quotes and details on the options and inventory. I did notice an M3 on the lot that I'd not really considered and he was happy to switch from helping with a new car sale to a Certified Pre-owned Sale. He has been prompt to return calls and answer questions or getting me in touch with the right person to answer a question. Everyone I encountered at the dealership was helpful, friendly, and polite. A great purchase experience that I'll be relaying to friends and family in the area for their next car purchase. Very happy with my 4 door sports car! More
I bought a certified BMW with Darien dealership recently and i am surprised by the way they do business. I Walked in and the SA i talked to earlier was busy do i was sent to another SA (Sal Marino). Today I had my very first service experience at BMW of Darien. I purchased my car (1M) from Darien a few months ago and today I brought it in for its break-in service. From my perspective, everything ran like clockwork. From checking in, sitting with the SA to picking up the car after the service was completed. I particularly wanted to point out how helpful my SA, Joe Downs, was when I dropped off the car. I’m an active member of a BMW 1M message board (http://www.1addicts.com/forums/). It’s from comparing notes with other 1M owners that it was discovered that some BMW dealerships (not Darien) were unfamiliar with the correct fluids to be used in the 1M. I brought in a document which listed the correct fluids to discuss with my SA. Other 1M owners have down this at other dealerships with mixed results. Some dealerships respond positively while others can be dismissive. Joe was great! He looked at my document and verified that it was accurate and that he was aware of the needs of the 1M. I really appreciate his patience and assurance. For me, the 1M is a special car that I plan on keeping forever. I look forward to a long relationship with BMW of Darien. More
Joe is very courteous and knows the BMWs well - something that has been a mixed experience for me through the years with different dealerships. You give him the symptom and he immediately gives you a prelimi that has been a mixed experience for me through the years with different dealerships. You give him the symptom and he immediately gives you a preliminary diagnoses and the approximate costs. He is proactive about keeping you informed of the work and is patient when explaining the work (a problem I typically have when you deal with inexperienced service advisors). While fixing your car here is an expensive proposition (as with all BMW showrooms), Joe makes sure that you understand the nature of the work in detail. I will continue to do business with them as long as I am dealing with Joe. One issue I do have with the dealership is that they never wash the car after repairs unless you ask them to. This is no fault of Joe, but the dealer in general whenever I have taken it there. You get an very uncomfortable feeling when you have spent over $2K in repairs and get into a dirty car. Overall, I would recommend this dealer as long as I am dealing with a person of Joe's caliber. More

He promptly returned the call after I had left him a voice mail. But I wish he had not. ...That was the most unpleasant conversation of my week. Brad's manner to speak to a customer is bordering outright rude and has a distinctive flair of smart-xxx behavior. He sounded like he was making me a favor talking to me, and he was distinctly passive aggressive and showing me attitude when I asked him things that weren't clear to me from his explanations. I hope not to have to speak to that person again, and that all other employees of the dealership are different. More

Jill Brown is extremely responsive, courteous and efficient. I never have to wait too long for an answer as to why my car needs repair and she is very good at explaining maintenance problems in a way efficient.
