After a drive train service light came on, I called the dealership. The person who scheduled my appointment did an excellent job, giving me full confidence that I would be taken care in a courteous and pr dealership. Yes, they fixed the warranty problem, but I think the service advisor needs to work on his professionalism. Although I had an appointment, I was still kept waiting. Once at his desk, Brian took two calls from other customers and was interrupted by another employee twice. He also didn’t appear to be familiar with my car and printed up an estimated charge of $200 for my pre-paid oil change. When he walked me to the loaner, he walked about 25 feet in front of me, unlocked it and walked away. If it hadn’t been the drive train that I was sure was still under warranty, I would have gone somewhere else. Yes, the car is fixed and running well, but I had to text Brian to get a status report. Same treatment when I picked the car up. Would I have gotten better treatment if I had been a beautiful young woman instead of a grey-haired 60 something? Customer service is a very high priority to me and am a loyal customer when treated well. More

Our normal advisor called in sick so a different one took care of our service needs. Art handled things very well and communicated status promptly. Turns out the CBS service was not needed due to a broken se care of our service needs. Art handled things very well and communicated status promptly. Turns out the CBS service was not needed due to a broken sensor. The dealership replaced the sensor at no charge and apologized for the inconvenience (but it wasn't even their fault). We appreciate the honesty and service here, always a superior experience. More

Christine at BMW of Carlsbad is one of the best customer relations agents I have come across. I have always been happy with the experience I have when I go to BMW of Cbad. One critique: I called in for an appointment weeks before the appointment. When I got there I was told I was not on the list. The fellow asked how I make my reservation. When I told him I called in, he said “yea, that doesn’t work. People who call for an appt usually don’t get on the appointment list”. Huh? What!!! I put my patient panties on and it turned out ok. That experience did rob me of an extra half hour of my day. Annoying but did not ruin my day. Not too much of a big deal but I know BMW holds itself to a higher standard and may want to look into this. Maybe have the service phone operator simply say no I can’t set up and appt, do it on line. Just a suggestion. More
I had a very bad experience with the Service Center at BMW Carlsbad. I dropped off my BMW X5 for a first oil change (8 months after purchase) at the Service Center. After picking up my car from the Service Center I noted buff marks and scratches on the inside door controls on the driver side. Their service team also did not investigate and resolve one of the issues I informed them about when I made the service appointment. Overall, a very bad service experience at this location. More
