Ridiculous Extremely disappointed. It all started with a routine oil change and wiper blade replacement. I receive a call stating I had an additional $4000 in re Extremely disappointed. It all started with a routine oil change and wiper blade replacement. I receive a call stating I had an additional $4000 in repairs needed for my 2009 X5 that has only 75,000 miles. Most of the "recommended" repairs had to do with "leaking" valve gaskets. I declined all of the work that "needed" to be completed, minus replacing a front sway bar. I receive my car back at work via their valet service. I parked my car and back back to work. I got into my car 3 hours later and my "low coolant" service light goes on. I drove home 11 miles and checked to see what the problem was. I had no coolant in my radiator reservoir! I called the following morning (today) to express my concerns and I was completely ignored and received a candid response about nothing being wrong with the coolant and continued to tell me that the issue was the valve gaskets. I have been driving BMW's for 14 years and can honestly say I've never been pleased with the service. But this tops it off. I've received calls about them blowing out a tire taking my car through their car wash, forgetting to screw my bumper back together, to leaving my sunroof open while servicing my car for four days during a rainy weekend. This one tops them all. Valve gaskets need replaced /leaking oil - Car gets returned with zero coolant and can clearly see the radiator reservoir leaking. Unbelievable. More

I've been a happy customer of BMWCleveland for about 10 years and am happy to remain one! While I definitely DO NOT hold this against Ben or Lamont, here are some thoughts on the process that might be helpful in creating an even better experience for future customers: - I would have liked to have been able to move much quicker through the negotiation - but the dealership would not offer a great price for the car (or fair value for trade-in without extensive back and forth - which included telling me at least a couple of times that the offer was the bottom line and that they would not budge from the price offered, though they ended up doing so. - Traveling every week for work, I started by informing them I would only negotiate by email and come in to sign the papers when we reached an agreement. I would have liked to skip the part where they told me that coming in and negotiating in person was "my best leverage". Aside from being clearly not true, it was not possible in my situation. - Price for Trade-in was well below established value (KBB and several other sites.). Initial value offered was laughably low, and though I was able to get it closer, I wish it didn't have to take such effort on my part. - Dealer, several times, discounted the validity of the info on sites like KBB for trade-in values, while using them as a support for the price of the car they are selling! Customers have much more information available to them now than ever before, and dealers should embrace that! - In general, it's bad experience for customers that Sales, Trade-in and Parts are treated as completely separate entities. I have no doubt this is absolutely true (internal to the dealership), but to the customer what they pay for the car, what they get for their trade-in, and any simply extras they need (e.g., floor mats) are part of the same transaction, and the back and forth between those groups just adds confusion and delay that makes the process harder. "Fixing" this for the customer is an opportunity for the dealership to really make the process great for their customers! - Once we agreed on the deal, Ben and Joe got me through the paperwork and delivery quite quickly -- around 2.5 hours - which was much appreciated!
