In all honesty - I am less than thrilled with this dealership. Granted my issue started on Memorial Day and I had no other option. I called and asked to be allowed to bring my vehicle by as the wate dealership. Granted my issue started on Memorial Day and I had no other option. I called and asked to be allowed to bring my vehicle by as the water pump was leaking badly when I arrived at the Silverthorne Lowes. I left my vehicle on Memorial Day and the service shop was closed. I wrote down what the issue was - a leaking water pump. Somehow this was turned around that my truck overheated and would not start??? I have not a clue as to how this was mis-interpreted as I was promised a quote for this service ( dealership had my vehicle 8 days) which I never did receive. When I finally talked with Pavel I got my point across that all I wanted was a water pump replaced. Verbal quote yes with Pavel but nothing in writing. I agreed to the water pump being replaced and the exorbitant price of $838.29 because I have no other choice. When I finally pick up the vehicle - I see the entire ordeal written out by Pavel (Invoice # CSCB511096) - stating " customer states vehicle overheated" this I never communicated as IT NEVER OVERHEATED! Driving it home after the water pump was replaced - it never overheated. It does however exhibit a squealing noise which has been there for quite some time and when the pump started leaking - I sort of assumed that was my squeaking sound. Well NO - as soon as I started the vehicle the squeak is same as always. My point - I have never had a starting issue with this vehicle, nor have I had an overheating issue. I have no clue why your shop came up with this nonsense? Pavel did agree with me that the communication about this ordeal was not good. I have no issue with service people explaining what I may need but I do have an issue with never receiving a bid or e-mail explaining what the problem is. I never received anything in writing until the final bill. I have been a Colorado Native 5th generation to Leadville in particular. It would be so nice to have a close repair shop that I had confidence in. This Silverthorne shop has burned me 2X now - One on a Grand Cherokee oil change - appointment made when I arrived I was told that they had no room and the guy that made the appointment with me should have never done so as he was not authorized - now this ordeal. It is just easier for me to drive to Colorado Springs and take all of my numerous vehicles to the Cadillac dealer - which by the way is also cheaper and everything is up front. I guess when this sort of thing happens I call AAA and pay the extra to have it taken to Colorado Springs. In honesty, upon meeting Pavel he was the only "glimmer" of positive understanding. Thomas up front was very courteous. I had basic preventative maintenance performed. Groove used to tell me where to pick up my Jeep. Now I’m just sent out the door by Autostar to search the parking lot for my Jeep. At first turn of the key, the first light I see on the dashboard: Oil change required & tire pressure light on also. I had just had my oil changed & my tires rotated. Then, 3 days later my front driver’s side tire goes flat because of a problem with the valve. These tires are not yet one year old. I actually sometimes worry that either no work is actually being done on my Jeep or that it was rushed. Can you please have your garage guys reset the oil change interval & be careful not to damage valves on tires. Then Thomas said I should be all set for 30,000 miles! What??? More
Believe or not, I'm from California and yes, I purchased a car from Autostar in Colorado. The car I wanted, with the package and 2nd row bench seat I wanted, did not exist in California, so I looked at the a car from Autostar in Colorado. The car I wanted, with the package and 2nd row bench seat I wanted, did not exist in California, so I looked at the next best location. I contacted 3 dealerships, 2 in CO and 1 in TX. Autostar immediately stuck out by being very accomodating and not at all put off by the fact that I was not local. They even offered to assess and quote my potential trade in (spoiler alert, I traded it in to them). I worked with JD (Jhaden) in sales and received multiple videos/pics of the car I had my eye on. Receiving a very competitive offer on my trade in, along with the support from Autostar is what closed the deal. I worked with Ian (with assistance from David) in finance to get numbers and paperwork situated. We started the process on a Friday and by Monday my new car was being loaded onto transport. My new vehicle arrived in my driveway on Wendesday and my former vehicle was taken back on that same transport within 15 minutes. Ian/David were wonderful in working with me virtually and were readily available for all questions I had. JD was, and still has been amazing through the entire process! JD and I even had a zoom call once I was ready so that he could explain a lot of my new car's features to me. Customer service for Autostar CDJR of Silverthorne was TOP NOTCH and I would absolutely consider buying a car from them again, regardless of the distance! A+ guys, thanks so much!!! More
