The the oil change and brake check and tire rotation servicing of my 2005 Subaru Forester was handled politely and efficiently. I definitely like the Bob Baker/Carlsbad Express Service and will return servicing of my 2005 Subaru Forester was handled politely and efficiently. I definitely like the Bob Baker/Carlsbad Express Service and will return for all my regular servicing from now on! I was completely satisfied with everything. Brad, the servicing rep was polite and attentive, making sure my car was ready promptly since I was waiting. He even gave me a token for a cup of coffee and showed me how to use the machine. I was very happy to see my car washed and ready to go in no time at all. Bob Baker of Carlsbad has indeed put out a great effort to make the customer happy. Thank you for that! R P Allen More
I have had my 2011 Subaru Outback in for service at Bob Baker for routine maintenance, and the service has been outstanding. Today, I had a routine service, and I asked for a quote for a few interior repa Baker for routine maintenance, and the service has been outstanding. Today, I had a routine service, and I asked for a quote for a few interior repairs (dog chewed the seat belts and a few other things!), and when I picked my car up, it was clean inside and out, ready when they said it would be, and I had my quote for repairs. I would highly recommend Bob Baker Subaru to anyone looking for a reliable, customer oriented dealer/car service. Their team is AMAZING! alisa trejo More
In 2011 I purchased a used WRX Sti from a dealership in Arizona. I assumed this was a good investment because the car ran fine and no issues seemed apparent. After getting the car looked over at Subaru Car Arizona. I assumed this was a good investment because the car ran fine and no issues seemed apparent. After getting the car looked over at Subaru Carlsbad and purchasing an extended warranty for a Killer Deal (thanks to upper Management) I was on my way living the good life. The initial and continuous visits with BBSofC (Bob Baker Subaru of Carlsbad) was awesome. I was well informed given awesome advice on how to take care of the vehicle and just the overall experience with the staff was great. I felt i found a dealership I could trust (I know trust and dealership are not often used in the same sentence but this time they are). After a few oil changes I noticed i was consuming a large amount of oil. I informed BBSofC of my dilemma. They immediately went to work to diagnose the problem. They found the problem and then went to bat for me to Subaru of America to have the engine replaced. Can you say WOW. This had made my car buying and service experience awesome. Its almost unheard of a dealership taking their time to ensure the customer is taking care of and has a piece of mind to know that their issue will be resolved. Bob Baker Subaru of Carlsbad, Two thumbs up. Very informative, Communication is outstanding. and most all repair parts are usually on stock so the wait or repair time in minimal.. Kuddos to this Subaru Dealership. More
I have been utilizing Bob Baker Subaru for servicing my Outback since I bought it in September 2008. The service I have received is by far that I have ever experienced from any dealer. My husband and I bought our 2002 Jetta from Bob Baker Carlsbad and have always been very pleased with the service we receive. We, in fact, bought our 2010 CC from them just so we could enjoy their fine Carlsbad and have always been very pleased with the service we receive. We, in fact, bought our 2010 CC from them just so we could enjoy their fine service again. They are knowledgable, friendly and always have the car ready (and washed) when it is promised. More
Service dept. Staff incl Service Manager Rick is unethical - BEWARE !!! Took my brand new 2011 VW Touareg in for what should have been a 15 min top off of Advlue fluid for the TDI. Instead, i unethical - BEWARE !!! Took my brand new 2011 VW Touareg in for what should have been a 15 min top off of Advlue fluid for the TDI. Instead, it turned into this dealer telling me they would not do work unless they were paid by the dealer that I purchased it from. They ended up lying to me about service errors I had on the car with only 130 miles on it when it was a simple clear that should have been done before delivery. They tried telling me they needed car overnight so they could drive around in it with a computer plugged into the vehicle. This seemed unusual and when I compared notes, I found conflicting stories between the service advisor, the tech, and the service manager who all seemed to be lying and/ or unknowledgable about the situation at the very least. I now understand why there are so many negative posts about this dealership. Glad I found out early as I will never bring my 11' Touareg TDI here again. More

Why? Why? Why? We knew what the experience would be like but due to convenience we went to service our passat anyway. Painful...refer to your owner's manual that should fix the problem. We even put a like but due to convenience we went to service our passat anyway. Painful...refer to your owner's manual that should fix the problem. We even put a post it on the page in your owner's manual. I am not a moron! We've tried that 30 freaking times since you repaired it the first time and it hasn't worked since. Either we're doing something wrong or our imagination is pessimistic. These people never NEVER get it right. All they do is tell you everything you need besides the issue you to take it in for. It hurts. All I can do is say pray for all of these people who's energy is just twisted. A fish rots from the head first and I'm sure the service manager whoever he or she is is a useless service provider. Thank God his or her family loves them because this customer hates going there and NEVER will again. Steer clear of Bob Baker VW in Carlsbad for both sales and service. I've purchased 4 cars over 8 years and am done. No longer going there out of convenience I will drive to Miramar. By the way I live in their town. So what...Mira Mesa here I come! More
This service department is horrible. They have cost me over $600 in the past month and my 2000 Passat is still not fixed. As of today, my car is still there. The service manager, Rick Nelson was extreme over $600 in the past month and my 2000 Passat is still not fixed. As of today, my car is still there. The service manager, Rick Nelson was extremely rude when I had a few simple questions as to why my car is still sitting in the parking lot untouched and unfixed. If I could, I would rate this dealership at a "0". Do not get a car or take your car for service to this dealership AT ANY COST! More
