No Support For EVs I was really enthusiastic about my new eGolf -until I tried to drive it off the lot. The AC was broken. Hung out for nearly two hours after the deal w I was really enthusiastic about my new eGolf -until I tried to drive it off the lot. The AC was broken. Hung out for nearly two hours after the deal was completed and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. They sent me home in a terrible, smelly (cigarette) loaner car that actually ran out of gas on the drive home. They finally had to get me a replacement car from another dealer -and now that one is having a lot of problems (car.net doesn't work, navigation and music play are buggy). Worst of all, I called their service department five times over two weeks to try to set up an appointment, and the calls always went to voicemail. I left detailed messages, but no one ever called back. Just to add insult to injury, I had a charging emergency when the nearby station was out of order, so I went to the dealer -only to find they have permanently shut down their EV charger (they couldn't say why...). They then sent me to another charging station that doesn't support my car. The one I bought from them! They actually don't even know what kind of charger works on their own cars! This dealership talks big about their wonderful customer service, but they just can't back it up. I'm really disappointed in Volkswagen after this poor experience. More

It is a bit of a drive, but well worth it. My service rep treated me like I was his most important customer ever. He matched the price I expected, walked me through the options, and promised improved driving comfort. He kept me informed and delivered on all fronts. If this keeps going I will have this Subaru for many more years. More

We stopped at this VW dealership, where Carmen (great lady) introduced us to Jason. Jason is not the car sales person you would EVER expect to meet. He has been so relaxed, gave us all the time we needed & answered every question we had. We not only learned a lot from him, felt comfortable throughout the complete process, as he provided us with every possible option. Long story short we ended up finding the perfect car for us. Jason has made such a wonderful impression on both my daughter and myself. We will for sure highly recommend him to others & request him for future leases or purchases !!! THANK YOU, JASON, now I have to explain to my kiddo that this is not the norm, rather the exception to work with someone of your caliber. More

As, unusually, they did not keep their promise to complete the service of my Subaru by 2 P.M.(due to mechanics shortage, they explained) and I having another engagement, I took my car as it was. To their credit they did not insist on charges. I wrote letters to then service manager and when he did not respond I wrote to Bob Baker person, with the same result, no response and I took my business elsewhere. This was some five months ago. As one, among many, receiving promotional emails from the new Service Manager; I took my car again for properly completing the 30,000 Service. What an excellent surprise and pleasant change. I was welcomed and introduced to Dawn mount. She patiently listened to my previous experience, listed my service requirements and shuttled us (my wife accompanied me and we made a day of it on the beach) to an Inn in Carlsbad. When we returned, shuttled again, the car was ready, washed and cleaned. What a delightful experience. The reason for not scoring Excellent for everything; is the past history. After the next service, I will write my experience again even though I am sure under the new Service Manager, Don, things have changed for the better. More

I purchased my new Subaru in 2012 and had a wonderful sales experience. The representative was very thorough on my first and second visit during the sales process. My friend asked a general question and we received a more than adequate explanation, confident he was knowledgeable on the vehicle and it's capabilities. When I went for service later in the year, they were prompt, efficient and very polite in addressing the issues. I recently had another visit to replace a cosmetic problem, which was addressed and resolved quickly and very courteously I have complete confidence in the staff and technicians from Bob Baker Subaru. We asked Molly to tell us why the car oil level was consistentl RE Invoice# 435875 We brought our 2008 VW PASSAT in because our oil level was low. We asked Molly to tell us why the car oil level was consistently getting low,as there was no oil puddle under the car.She said she would call us when she figured it out.We bought this car certified from this dealership and expected for problems like this to be taken care of under the certification.We waited for a call and didnt receive one. We called up and were told that they fixed the problem and changed the oil,and our bill was $151.87.The certification deductible is $50.We never asked to have the oil changed and explained this to Molly.She replied "Are you sure?". She proceeded to explain that we were only 200 miles away from needing a service. In reality, according to the last service sticker received from the dealership, we were closer to 500 miles and 3 months away from service. Not once did Molly offer to show us the service request write up- something we never received a copy of either. When we asked for details, Molly kept referring us to pay the invoice because the details were there. As this is the 3rd time we have had issues with the service, we will not be a returning customer. We feel we were incorrectly charged for the oil change and the level of service was subpar. We have opportunities to refer our friends to this dealership and will not be doing so in the future.
