Its OK, but found detects in the paint job of the bumper Both front and back bumpers have flaws in the paint job...You would think when you buy a new car that the paint job would be perfect. In this case it wasn't, I'm flexible and had the scatches on the front bumper painted over, found flaws in the dealer paint job. Reported this last service, Two more trips one for paint job and one in 30 days for ceramic coating AGAIN. More
Airbag recall I had a hard time communicating with the service department when I came up to get my airbag replaced I live in Yuma 150 miles from Subaru service depa I had a hard time communicating with the service department when I came up to get my airbag replaced I live in Yuma 150 miles from Subaru service department I want them to be aware of time restraints travel time and motel reservations the phone operator told me repeatedly to discuss that with my service rep when I came in I wanted it to be noted by the service manager before I arrive so there could be time schedules looked atto further complicate things when I did get it replaced and on my way back from San Diego to Yuma Arizona my engine light came on my brake lights came on my cruise control light flashing and would not set there's mountains between Yuma and San Diego and it was a pretty frightening experience on Sunday when there is no Subaru service available when I called service the following Monday I didn't get very good responses was told it was probably my fuel cap nothing to do with the airbags well it seems to have been a computer reset problem which we did manage to take care of in Yuma without any help from anybody at Subaru I called to talk to customer service and was transferred to my service rep who give me no information other than to bring my car back pretty scary to bring a car back over mountains when the brake light is flashing and the engine light is on I asked to speak to the service manager he said he would relay my phone number it is been 3 days I have not been called back I sold my Subaru this week and bought a Chevy More

Oil change incompetency I have a pretty new Forester with 7500 miles and brought it in for second oil change. The car started smoking and smelling burnt on the way home. I ch I have a pretty new Forester with 7500 miles and brought it in for second oil change. The car started smoking and smelling burnt on the way home. I checked the oil - it was very low and the engine compartment was smoking and very hot. The dealership sent out a technician and a service advisor (Chad Ackerman) to add oil and drive it back to the shop. The technician went under the car, verified that it was low on oil, added oil, and stated that he saw "the technician spill the oil" when the car was in the shop. I asked for the engine compartment to be degreased and cleaned because oil was everywhere. Chad later returned the car but there was still oil everywhere under the hood and white smoke still being produced. He took the car back and said he would call me when the cleaning was complete. I called the next day because I hadn't heard from Chad - but he wasn't in. I went up to the dealership. Zach was very apologetic and tracked down the technician who stated that the plug had been screwed on incorrectly. There was no paperwork for me because Chad had not entered the problem nor the repair on a ticket, so Zach did that for me at my request so that I would have a record. This oil change cost me a day without my car and a half tank of gas. I hope the engine was not harmed. This is not acceptable work for a dealership. More
