When we were contacted availability was within a couple days according to the voice mail that was left, when I returned the call within the same day the service department was at lunch and was told I would be contacted within 1 hour. After approximately 4 hours with no return call I contacted the service scheduling department and was hung up on 3 times, after the 4th attempt the scheduler finally was willing to talk and advised the day quoted was no longer available due to the complexity of the application and time required I had to wait another 5 days before they were available. After accepting this time frame the brand new Subaru was dropped off on the scheduled day. The check in process was a bit unorganized due to it not being a first come first serve basis. When the service writer approached she knew exactly why I was there with out me speaking a single word. After a couple signatures and a less than 5 min wait for the shuttle I was off to get what I thought was a courtesy Subaru (as I was promised). I was dropped off at a rental car agency. The staff there were pleasant. I was offered a choice of 3 different makes of a rental non being remotely close to a Subaru. This left the coice to me to choose my rental. This was where in my opinion Subaru let me down. I dropped off a vehicle that has an MSRP of $50,000+ and my rental was barely worth $5,000. I felt completely unsafe while driving the rental due to excessive steering wheel movement while driving and worn out suspension. At the approximate estimated time frame of completion I was contacted by the same service writer who check my Subaru in and said it was ready for pick up. I immediately returned the jalopy of a rental and was shuttled back to Subaru. Another service writer approached me and stated the my service writer had left for the day and that he had to find my keys. This was a little frustrating that there was no communication between service writers on what cars were still in que for pick up that day. I ended up locating my own keys on their keyboard . I had to sign a few documents for warranty and was told I don't know where you car is hopefully you seen it when you pulled up. The service person decided to use my panic alarm to locate my vehicle and said its over there have a good night. I performed my own walk around to ensure no VISIBLE damage and then had to clean out the trash that was left by Subaru employees in my car. This should have been the conclusion to my trip but unfortunately during my drive home I noticed something very wrong with my drivers side mirror. While driving at highway speeds the driver's mirror is now extremely blurry. It appears while the vehicle was in their possession the employees damaged the internals of my driver's mirror and now I have to go back. With this being my 1st experience with Subaru I am reserved to state whether Bob Baker Subaru is a recommended place for service. Hopefully this review triggers Subaru to reach out but like most reviews it's all placebo. More

As always, thank you JP Please reconsider the flat rate billing for fluids, paying $53 for four quarts for transmission and $53 for the same one quart for rear differential s Please reconsider the flat rate billing for fluids, paying $53 for four quarts for transmission and $53 for the same one quart for rear differential servicing is a bit of a gouging situation when the same BG 75-90W fluid is used for both drive systems. As always, thank you JP for the outstanding service when completing the fluid changes for the engine, transmission, and rear differential on our 2013 Subaru XV.
