Autohaus BMW responded

This review misstates the facts concerning the Autohaus repair process & also misrepresents the conversations that Victor, the service manager, & Kevin Dwyer, the General Manager, had on separate occasions with this customer. When a customer brings a vehicle into Autohaus to be repaired, our technicians complete a complimentary vehicle inspection. The customer is NEVER charged for this service. The checklist gives the owner an overall view of the condition of many common items of their vehicle. We use “red, yellow, & green colors” to indicate the severity of the problem & also to prioritize what needs to be repaired immediately or what can wait but will need some attention in the future. Most of our customers appreciate getting a heads up on what their vehicle needs to ensure their safety & help schedule maintenance costs into the future. The service advisor reviews any items needing attention with the customer, quotes prices for the repair(s), & gets the customer’s approval before any work is done. The signature on the checklist is part of the process so that we can be sure the checklist was presented to the customer. The repairs the customer approved are completed. A repair order & invoice are generated which describes the work that was done & lists the parts that were used. We do not feel there is any need to do another inspection & generate another checklist that documents the repairs we made. The repair order & invoice already do that. This was explained to this customer by Victor & by the General Manager. Apparently this is not acceptable. We are the 2015 DealerRater Missouri BMW Dealer of the Year based on customer reviews and satisfaction. We are a 2013 Center of Excellence, an award that BMW gives to less than 10% of their dealers nationwide. We are locally owned & have been providing superior customer service to the metro St. Louis community for over 46 years. We have grown to be the largest BMW dealer in the state of Missouri by focusing on customer satisfaction and integrity in all our processes. Customer satisfaction is important to us & we truly try to make all our customers happy if an issue arises. In this instance, I cannot justify changing a process that our customers overwhelmingly appreciate to make this one customer happy.
