I was quoted $360.00 and was charged $975.00. I asked why and Jimmy Ho said it needed a 40k service and I had 38k and car computer said I only needed a basic maintenance. When I asked why Jimmy said it was because they had had half of the work done when I spoke to him at 11:30. I went to my email when I got him me and preliminary report was sent at 1:19? They called at 2:30 and said my car was done- Jimmy lied to me and after I told him to just do regular basic maintenance, he did the 40k maintenance. Needless to say, I was very angry. By far the most professional, friendly , knowledgeable adviser i have had for the last 3 years. He went through not only the work performed, offered me some insight on future repairs that were coming up. He continues to make sure that when i drop my van off that im not concerned one bit on if the work is done correct. he keeps me updated on every new and current progress for repairs. I will only bring my van to him. More

I was treated like royalty there, and every time my car was returned cleaned spotless inside and out. That's when I realized what a difference "luxury" car ownership makes, and it somewhat justified paying those hefty dealership premiums for the same services many reputable shops would do for much less. Buying my first Mercedes a few years ago, I expected an equivalent or even better level of service, and this was a major factor in the purchasing decision. I don't want to tarnish the MB brand, as I don’t know if other dealerships act similarly, and I do love the car itself, but the quality of service at Autobahn Motors is extremely disappointing. This is due to a combination of many things and questionable practices (like pushing unneeded services) that prevent me from ever again giving this place my business. A non-comprehensive list of examples: - It is impossible to get a loaner car there. They do have a shuttle service but the driver has forgotten to pick me up multiple times. - Taking my car in for a routine service, the technician attentively listened to my very minor concern, responded with "We'll check it out" and neglected to mention he’s adding a $900 diagnostics charge and will be keeping the car overnight. - While the car is in service, I'm offered additional services worth over $6000 by text message (including $1092.30 to replace 6 spark plugs?). A lazy, unprofessional, predatory, and frankly insulting attempt to overcharge. - With 32k miles on the car I was told "all tires at minimum bar" and need to be replaced. Since the tires looked fine to me, I politely declined. 10k miles later, prior to going for the next service, I checked my tires and thread measured at 5/32" with wear indicators still intact so there is no way it could have been anywhere near minimum (2/32") 10,000 miles earlier. A flat out insolent lie. - Every time right before bringing the car to the dealership I'd top off my own windshield washer fluid with the brand I prefer, and every time there was an $11.50 "windshield washer fluid" charge on my invoice. The first time, I was naive enough to think my fluid was replaced with some special MB stuff, but a quick check in the reservoir revealed it was the same fluid I'd put in. I don’t care much about the stolen $11.50, but it’s just clearly indicative of systemic lying. - Every time, I let the technician know that the seat memory is not set, and ask to please not mess with seat adjustments or, if they have to, to save the current position in memory first and restore it when returning the car. Every time I get my car back the seat settings are messed up and memory is not set. Minor? … Yes, but super annoying... for some reason only Autobahn Motors personnel thinks this is OK - this never happened to me in any other shop, and I have owned many cars and dealt with all sort of various shops. - The "complimentary exterior car wash and interior vacuum" is a joke - while the exterior wash approaches the quality of a standard gas station automatic carwash, I highly doubt that the interior ever saw that vacuum. Or maybe it gets vacuumed by the same person who's in charge of windshield washer fluid. I've been reluctantly going to Autobahn Motors while the car was under warranty, as the next nearest dealership is 25 miles away. Now, with the warranty expired, and my experiences per the above, I will never go there again, and I will be actively dissuading any other current Benz owners or potential buyers as well. The quality of service is poor and they take advantage of their customers. More
We had service completed at Audubon Motors in Belmont, CA and they, the parts department apparently quoted us the wrong amount of time that it would take to complete the job. See we had to special order the part first, because our car was just to new a 2020 CLA 250 and was only 24-hours old before some xxxxxx broke in the night before trying to steal whatever he could find. Which was nothing, because we just bought it for our wonderful daughter that graduated with honors from college and had just started her new job. Our Service Advisor Michael quoted us a much higher price and amount of time it would take to complete replacing the driver side window. We replied by saying we were quoted a different and much cheaper price and after conferring with his manager we got the original price that was that was miss quoted to us. On top of that for due to the time it took to get this very new drivers side window from the Mercedes Benz supplier which was three days and our misfortune on the car break-in. They even credited us back the cost of the window which was very generous and kind of them. The total cost was cheaper than our $500 insurance deductible. This type of generosity due to our miss fortune, quick thinking and top notch service deserves my five star rating at this Mercedes Benz dealership. Thank you again Michael Parayo... More
Exceptional Service Exceptional customer experience as you would expect from a luxury car dealership. But they are also down-to-earth. Very businesslike and courteous. One of the things that stick out in my mind is the service writer explains everything clearly and escorts you into the customer service area where he explains transportation options and their waiting area, complete with refreshments. This is a big dealership where service is handled like clockwork: you drop your car off at the scheduled time, get checked in and talk about the car's issues with your service consultant (mine is Joshua Cassetari), then head to the loaner desk to check out your loaner vehicle. The process works smoothly in reverse when the car has been serviced and you pick it up. You need to make an appointment, but once this is done, everything will be handled well. Service people are polite and attentive, and they know MBZ cars! More
