Nothing to do with James, but I called on the morning of 7/3/23 to change my appointment (scheduled for 7/6) because I was leaving town unexpected Nothing to do with James, but I called on the morning of 7/3/23 to change my appointment (scheduled for 7/6) because I was leaving town unexpectedly the next day for a family member’s funeral in NC and wanted to make sure all was good before o drove round trip of 8 plus hours. I was told an appointment was available at 1:30 but I could only take it if I was going to leave it and come back later that afternoon. I could not stay because there’s limited room in the lobby area. I was really turned-off by this situation as I had no one who could pick me up and I live too far for the shuttle. The lobby is small compared to other dealerships that I have been in but I felt that it was a little ridiculous that was the reason I couldn’t have my vehicle serviced that day. I would have rather heard that an appointment was not available since it was such short notice. More
Truly you can go anywhere and get your oil changed, the difference is how your treated. Called about a recall on my old dirty Jetta (ODJ, 2016 TSI, something about a fuel tank rail). Person on the phone was courteous and professional and found a spot on the schedule within 5 days. This was a little surprising because recalls tend to be lower priority issues for many dealers. Ryan was my service rep and he was great. Good communication by text and and phone. They addressed the recall issue, did a full inspection of the ODJ, and found a seized emergency brake line and worn out rear breaks/rotors. Probably paid more than I would have at Johnny Doe's tire and auto, but it was up on the lift and I didn't have much time to deal with it. They did the repairs promptly and I was out the door. More
Drop the vehicle off in the morning and asked how long it would take. The service advisor said about two hours an hour and a half later they called and said the car was ready when I picked it up the car was would take.
