Stay away! After having to pay over $400 to have some hoses replaced just to pass emissions, I was quoted another $600 to fix a melted fuse panel and alternator After having to pay over $400 to have some hoses replaced just to pass emissions, I was quoted another $600 to fix a melted fuse panel and alternator wire harness. I declined the repair of the fuse panel after finding the part at AutoZone for only $47.95. When I inspected the part myself, I found absolutely no melting of the panel. I will not be going back for anything else. More

I took my wife's volkswagen jetta to get the air conditioning fixed. They fixed it for 429.00. They also gave me a list of nine other things that needed fixed. I said no, just the air conditioning t conditioning fixed. They fixed it for 429.00. They also gave me a list of nine other things that needed fixed. I said no, just the air conditioning that day due to money issues. So I decided to chip away at the fix it list, in order of importance. Starting with what they said was a tore cv joint boot, "laying wide open" Left outer boot. So I bought the boot, took the tire off, and couldn't find any tears in any of the boots, not even on the right side!! And I have replaced cv boots before, I know what a tore boot looks like. They even said the a/c light bulb behind the a/c button was burnt out, no it wasn't. Next they said the serpintine belt and tensioner pulley was bad and needed replaced. I just replaced the belt 6 months to a year ago, but wasn't sure, so I took it to another mechanic, Midas, and they replaced the belt because I told them to, but the tensioner pulley and belt were fine!! Makes me wonder if my $429. dollars was just given away to them for a 50 dollar fix. I do not recommend this dealership for service!!!!!! More
I am a 20 year old, female college student. I had my check engine light come on not too long ago. Where I go to college is no where near a VW dealership, so I first took my car to Advance to see what w check engine light come on not too long ago. Where I go to college is no where near a VW dealership, so I first took my car to Advance to see what was causing he light to come on. They informed me that my Pressor Sensors in my exhaust were going bad and needed to be replaced. I then took it home to the Gunther VW dealership. I informed them of the code my car was pulling. They then ran their own test and insisted that it was my EGR valve that was bad. So I allowed them to change it; I was assuming they knew what they were doing. Well $700 later, my light was still on. Gunther insisted this time it was my coolant fans. This confused me because you could turn the car on, pop the hood, and my fans WERE clearly running. When confronted about this, the Gunther employees said that it "must have fixed it's self over night". Fed up with Gunther, I took the car to a German Motors Work Shop. They ran a few tests, only to determine that my Pressure Sensor were bad and needed to be replaced. I then again confronted Gunther about this and they refused to refund any of my money or even admit that they could have messed up. At one point, a sales associate even told me that he did not want to speak to me and he would much rather speak to a man, preferably my father. Sadly, this is not the first time they have tried to scam me and my family. I will NEVER by taking my car there again and I suggest that you don't either. More
