Bought a car here back in 2021. While the purchase experience was overall pleasant, the service appointments have been mediocre at best. The service advisors are prompt and polite! But it's happened to me three times that the techs have neglected to reset sensors or oil change reminders. Each time my husband ends up having to reset the sensors himself. With work that's part of a warranty I pay for each month, this is unacceptable. We reset the censors ourselves because the dealership is a far drive from home and getting a hold of someone in service is painfully difficult. More
I needed an oil change on a Thursday Morning. I called this VW location. I was able to get an appointment for 90 minutes later (which I was just over an hour drive away). I was taken care of by the staff. The beverage area was great. I waited on my car service. It took only a short time and I was back on the road. Everyone was very friendly. It was around $100 for the service which is the same price I've paid for many years how. The car washing was down due to a busted water pipe so the outside and inside of the car could not be cleaned this time. This is the only reason for a 4 star review. Dealers always run the car through the car wash and vacuum the inside of the car. This is one of the reasons I have the old changed at the dealer. I really missed this service this time. My car was there July 2022 to January 2023 for a new transmission. I was told to wait a so they could find it. Which was fine. Little to no contact around September/November my paper work was lost. I ne transmission. I was told to wait a so they could find it. Which was fine. Little to no contact around September/November my paper work was lost. I needed to send everything back. At one point I was told I had to pick up my car due “to my insurance not paying” but I had my insurance check sitting in my account. They didn’t want to send a new claim stating it was going to be a new transmission instead of a new one. They said “there was no point”. So that’s when I decided to do all the work and contact both my insurance and the Autonation. In January. I’m the only reason why I got my car back quickly. Sometime in January I went to speak with Michael who was being extremely rude. Saying my insurance won’t pay and we don’t want to complete the work. When I have told them many times I would take care of the rest. My husband had to come out and tell them again that we would take care of the rest. That week my car was ready. Michael said he would send back the transmission. After I tried to explain what my insurance said. He dismissed me many times saying he knows. When paying for my service the guy checking me out stated a woman is completely fine waiting for her transmission. Completely unacceptable. I didn’t mind the waiting. It was the rude customer service I received, the miscommunication, the unwillingness to cooperate with my insurance and with me that was the worse part. Now my trunk won’t open. My oil light is on, no oil service was offered after the car was sitting there for 6 months. And my light is still broken after I had let them know to fix it. I paid $6000 to fix a transmission. More
