Ben James, my Salesman and new friend, was the best! He made buying my car easy and painless. He even helped me get my insurance handled that night before I drove off. Everyone, Nick, the Manager, George the Financial Wizzard and even the girl in the gift shop stayed with me until I was I drove my car off the lot. They were very friendly, professional and excited for me! I had an excellent experience with them and would recommend them to everyone. Thanks guys for giving me my dream bug!!----Kathie from Lawrenceville More

Gunther VW in Buford GA had the exact car i wanted even down to the color and options for a really good price online. When i went to look at it no one came outside to help us which rubbed me the wrong way immediately. After getting the front desk to get Morris for us we took the car for a test drive. The car was awesome, and Morris was decent if not a little curt and uninterested. When we started the haggling process the first price they came back with was $5000 higher than the listed price, but we still managed to talk them down to a price i was okay with..... 3 hours later. After the negotiations were over Morris turned out to be a pretty cool guy, i just wish he had made the whole process a little less serious. Thats when we were sent over to the financing department. We got hooked up with Gary the financing manager who seemed nice.... Wow. What a xxxxx he turned out to be. I opted for the 60,000 mile extended warranty because used turbocharged VW's don't have the best track record in terms of reliability. Then he started going off about some $800 tire road hazard warranty. "No thanks man, i don't think I'll need it." I told him that twice and he eventually relented and we started signing the paper work. It was about 10:30pm at this point and i was exhausted and wanted to go home with my new car. While signing he turned to me and goes "OH YEA!! i threw that tire warranty in for free!!" We did a little fist bump and i was happy to have it at no charge. UNTIL I GOT HOME AND SAW IN THE PAPER WORK THAT THE xxxxER CHARGED ME FOR IT. I was livid. I knew that because i had already signed the papers that there was nothing i could do but xxxx and moan about it. So thats exactly what i did. i went back up and spoke with Irene the other financing manager. She was very blasé about the whole thing and obviously was just giving me xxxxxxxx solutions. The conversation ended with me near full on rage. They have yet to offer any kind of customer satisfaction solution and i will be spreading my story about them to as many people that will listen to me, and even to some that won't listen probably. All in all, i got the car i wanted, but i would've much rather waited for another one to show up for sale and get that one if it meant that i could get the satisfaction in knowing that the dealership hadn't "gotten" me. NEVER EVER BUY A CAR FROM THESE SKETCHY xxxxxxx. More
Worst place to buy or lease a car. They will overcharge you. I went with a true car certificate from the University of Georgia to get a car, Nick Yanes-Amador told me he will honor the certificate, but the you. I went with a true car certificate from the University of Georgia to get a car, Nick Yanes-Amador told me he will honor the certificate, but then he changed the numbers on the lease agreement at the end, when I asked why the agreement price was not there, he and others made up some lies saying that the number was there but with taxes added, which it was a lie. I showed the lease to my coworkers and they saw that he never applied the true car certificate I had with me. Then I contacted Dan Gunther , sales manager, to fix this and he offered to pay me back 700, so I asked him that he should return 2,770 which it was the money they increase, but I haven't gotten a reply from him or anybody else. I addition to all this, they told me I had to pay 1300 for taxes, which now I don't know if it was true or not because looking at the lease agreement they are also charging me some other many taxes. I won't trust this people. They will tell you something at the beginning, but then they change the numbers, and I am not the only reviewer that says that. PLEASE DONT GO THERE. More
I went to true value and got several quotes back on the purchase of of new VW. I went to the lowest bidder ( not gunther) and was told about all of the missing parts for the quoted price. Man was ai soured purchase of of new VW. I went to the lowest bidder ( not gunther) and was told about all of the missing parts for the quoted price. Man was ai soured by the experience. I left this dealer and decided it was not time walk away from VW and look at another mfg. I noticed a vmail on phone. Gunther VW dropped me a vmail stating market position ( largest seller of VW) . I called them back and told them that they are not the lowest bidder for my business. With out my prodding they stated who was the lowest bidder and what my experience would be if I visited this other dealer. They nailed it to a tee. They then said they would honor all pricing given out with out haggling. I drove 40+ minute out of my area and had a great car buying experience. Thanks for renewing my faith in the VW brand as I was not ever going to look at VW again based on my earlier experience. More

Sleazy sales tactics. The agreed price was drastically changed when they tried to manipulate us into spending several hundred more dollars. They use highly unethical sales tactics, so beware. I took my wife's volkswagen jetta to get the air conditioning fixed. They fixed it for 429.00. They also gave me a list of nine other things that needed fixed. I said no, just the air conditioning t conditioning fixed. They fixed it for 429.00. They also gave me a list of nine other things that needed fixed. I said no, just the air conditioning that day due to money issues. So I decided to chip away at the fix it list, in order of importance. Starting with what they said was a tore cv joint boot, "laying wide open" Left outer boot. So I bought the boot, took the tire off, and couldn't find any tears in any of the boots, not even on the right side!! And I have replaced cv boots before, I know what a tore boot looks like. They even said the a/c light bulb behind the a/c button was burnt out, no it wasn't. Next they said the serpintine belt and tensioner pulley was bad and needed replaced. I just replaced the belt 6 months to a year ago, but wasn't sure, so I took it to another mechanic, Midas, and they replaced the belt because I told them to, but the tensioner pulley and belt were fine!! Makes me wonder if my $429. dollars was just given away to them for a 50 dollar fix. I do not recommend this dealership for service!!!!!! More
My wife and I had researched the exact model that we wanted, and went into Gunther VW's on-line website to see if they had the car we were looking for. We were initially assisted by Mike Martucci, thei wanted, and went into Gunther VW's on-line website to see if they had the car we were looking for. We were initially assisted by Mike Martucci, their Sales Manager, who answered our questions on-line, and offered low-key advice and pricing on the car they had in stock. When we went to the dealership, Mike assigned Daniel Castano to help us with all of our other questions and concerns. Daniel's primary concern seemed to be meeting our needs, and making us happy. The folks there are intelligent, amiable, and very upbeat, with a desire to help customers like myself with this most important purchase decision. The facility itself was welcoming, with a virtual "museum" of classic VWs like I was driving back in the 1960s; a trip down memory lane. I had previously sold my existing car privately, and the price I paid there was several hundred dollars cheaper than any other dealer in the Atlanta area. We bought our new 2013 Jetta TDI wagon there, and drove away looking forward to having the car serviced there for the next 36,000 miles. These people seem too busy to "nickel and dime" their customers; they are fully engaged - they are a volume dealer and get the job done. Our experience was excellent, and if their service people are as good as their sales folks, this retired couple will come away feeling that we received great value for our money. Thanks, Gunther VW! I hasn't necessarily looking for a new car, however, Ben worked a deal for me that a couldn't refuse for a brand new car. And now my daughter, who I bought the car for, and I a very satisfied. Ben at Ben worked a deal for me that a couldn't refuse for a brand new car. And now my daughter, who I bought the car for, and I a very satisfied. Ben at Gunther VW exceed my expectations and my daughter is driving a brand new VW Jetta instead of the wrecked used Jetta she had before. I'd definitely recommend them and if ever I need a car in the future I'll start by calling Ben there at Gunther. He was friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure doing business with. More
