When I wonder why used car dealerships have bad reputations, I think of Autonation Volkswagen DO NOT Go TO THIS DEALERSHIP I would give a zero star. When I wonder why used car dealerships have bad reputations, I think of Autonation Volkswagen Mall of Georgia in Buford Georgia. Please be very careful when dealing with them. They will give you multiple prices to make you think the dealer fee is included and then add $699. I am not sure, but this may be Autonation nationwide policy. Also have to be careful with their certified preowned cars. Make sure they have done all the service.I wonder if they learned their business ethics from the people in charge of the VW diesel scandal. I would be very reluctant to buy even a tshirt from them. More

Shady sales tactics This is a terrible dealership with a corrupt culture. I had to negotiate for several hours just to get them to meet tgeir advertised price. Then they slipped some warranty that I didn’t ask for onto the sales document. I’ve been getting the runaround for over a month to get it fixed, but the response is almost comical. I get transferred to voicemails and promised phone calls that never come. If I ever reach a person in the finance dept, I’m told that the one person that can help me has magically disappeared. I’ve detailed this in 2 separate surveys, and have yet to be contacted. They just don’t care! More

Questionable sales tactics I would not recommend buying a car here. I have purchased many vehicles throughout the years for personal and business use, so I understand that buyi I would not recommend buying a car here. I have purchased many vehicles throughout the years for personal and business use, so I understand that buying a car is not always a fun process. Usually more stress than anything. But this experience was one of the most unpleasant I've had. In short, we negotiated the vehicle price and made it back to the finance office where we were given a much higher interest rate than we expected. We have always qualified for advertised rates, and our credit score wasn't the issue. The sales manager told the finance guy to inflate the interest rate to make up for so called discounts that were given on the car. Lots of car manufacturers do that. However, they advertise it. It's either low APR or cash back. Volkswagen's website didn't say anything about an either/or incentive and it was never discussed during the process. In fact, the purchase price of the vehicle was actually pretty close to the advertised price of the vehicle. The interest rate we were given added about $2500 toward the final cost of the vehicle. The reason for the one star though has less to do with AutoNation, or Volkswagen's process, and more to do with how we were treated. After pointing out the rate disparity, my wife and I were basically shown the door. The sales manager isn't the only weak link in their process, but his lack of salesmanship and customer service is what prompted the review. Hope this is helpful to someone. More
