It is her first car and she is about to get her license. She absolutely loves the car and couldn’t be happier. Would definitely buy another vehicle from them. More

The buying experience was the worst I’ve ever had. They misrepresented and pretty much lied tome every step of the process. My salesman told me my pre approval thru Car Gurus and Westlake was a pre co They misrepresented and pretty much lied tome every step of the process. My salesman told me my pre approval thru Car Gurus and Westlake was a pre conditioned offer and not a pre-approval, which was a total lie. He then told me I needed to fill out a credit with the dealer and see if they couldn’t do better thru their lenders. I had been pre approved for a 2021 VW certified pre owned Passat for $25900 at a little over 8%with Westlake. After giving them the credit app the dealership decided the best rate I qualified for was 20%. I was then told I had only one shot at buying the car on their terms right then or there was somebody else waiting to purchase if I didn’t. I of course didn’t and luckily had a friend with me that had been in the car business over 10 years and knew they were trying to screw me royally. Meanwhile my salesman, Andamaro, came back to me and told to get anywhere near they payment I had hoped for I was going to have to move to a much less expensive car at that much higher rate. He then showed me a 2018 Jetta that was just traded and filthy and not even cleaned and up and said that was all I could get. My friend got on his I pad and the Car Gurus sight and looked closer and happened to ask a man on the showroom who was actually the business manger over the finance dept, to look at the deal and he said it was in fact a pre approval for Westlake Lending and Westlake’s dealer rep had just been there that day. Things changed up a little then. The salesman had totally lied to me about my pre approval. I then decided on a 2022 Taos, which was never even offered a test drive. It seemed like when the salesman, Andamaro found out he wasn’t going to be able to make the best deal for him and the worst deal for me he lost all interest. We then moved on to the write up and pricing of the new car. There were some dealer addendums for a dent repair package and a appearance package that was offered thru Autonation which thee was not one located even close to where I live. I told him I didn’t want these added addendums because they were of no use to me, Andamaro told me I had to take them that every new car sold at that dealership had to purchase them. When I refused and told him it could be a deal breaker, he told me only the general manager had the authority to remove, to which I asked if he was there and could I speak with him, he came over and agreed to remove the items. Andamaro then told me I could not leave the dealership without proof of insurance, which I had an outdated card that was three weeks out of date.so I called my agent and had them email the needed info. My agent told me because I had full coverage on my traded car I was automatically insured on the new one and had thirty days to get them the information on the new car, but I complied with Andamaro just so I could get the process over and leave. I then went to finance office to Mr Fox to do my paperwork. He was trying hard to sell me an extended warranty that I couldn’t afford. He kept telling me I three years the PCM or all the Electronis could go out and cost me a small fortune. The car has a four year 50,000mile warranty so he seemingly didn’t know the actual factory warranty on the car. I finally asked didn’t I have the option to purchase or extend before the factory warranty expired and reluctantly said yes, but I would have to bring it back to the dealership, I would have to pay $599 for an inspection prior to the purchase of a warranty, which might be the case for Autonation but not true for Volkswagen and other warranty companies and basically was a lie. I then asked about the three oil changes that came with car and he said that was only valid at Autonation facilities, none of which were anywhere near where I lived. This again was a total lie. The car I purchased had a VW Care option package on it good for the first three oil changes at any VW dealer. This was VW option on the monroney sticker and had nothing to do with Autonation and again was a lie. And pretty much illegal to tell me that with it listed on the monroney sticker. This dealership and it’s practices really crossed ethical and I’m told legal lines in how they represented me Volkswagen and AutoNation. Anyway when done with the paperwork, my salesman, Andamaro, gave me the keys to my new car said it was parked next to my trade in and to get anything I needed out. Didn’t go over anything on my new car, no features or benefits or how things worked, nothing. At any rate, I left and my friend who knows cars said he would study and help and show me how all the new technologies worked, and I knew he would. We got twenty miles down the road and had a flat tire. Not being shown where anything was who to call or anything. I reached out to the dealership and spoke to Andamaro, who offered no assistance and said the dealership could do nothing. I was out of town from another state knew nobody to call. My friend did figure how to call VW Roadside assistance and we contacted the and waited. While waiting we had pulled off the interstate at a well lit gas station that had a Dominos Pizza attached to it. Some college guys from the university of South Alabama on the Jaguars baseball to play ball the next day that were in town and in the area and picking up a pizza saw we needed help and offered and changed my tire. Very nice and respectful, one from Auburn, one from Birmingham and one from Ohio, they all jumped in and figured it out. I tried to pay them, offered to buy them another pizza since theirs had gotten cold helping me and they all refused anything from me and said they were happy to help and that’s just what your supposed to do. The University of South Alabama and it’s sports organization as well as these guys parents should be very proud and honored at what fine young men they are. As for this dealership, I would recommend them to no one. While they have a nice facility and nice cars, their staff is as unethical and uncaring of any dealership I’ve ever dealt with. The manipulation and lies I know were illegal and I’m going to post this any and everywhere I can. I’m going to Contact customer relations for VWNorth zamerican operations I’m going to contact the corporate entity of Autonation, I’m going to contact the Better Business Bureau and I’m going to post this same information on this dealership any and everywhere I can. If you have a opportunity to do business here, DON’T. Any dealership anywhere would have to better than this one!!! More
We had to leave town and on a short notice. The service manager James got my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. James was very professional and took care of our needs.
