Buying my 2009 C6 Corvette from this Autonation location was the worst car buying experience of my entire 50 years on this planet. The actual purchase was not horrible, but unpleasant. The salesman was ni was the worst car buying experience of my entire 50 years on this planet. The actual purchase was not horrible, but unpleasant. The salesman was nice. However, I went in pre-approved and walked out about 4 hours later. While the test drive didn't much concern me, the car was in less-than-optimal condition. If it weren't for the fact it was a corvette, and my intention was restoring it, I never would have driven off the lot with it. Even with great credit, lenders did not want to lend on a 2009 model. After about 15 hard inquiries, autonation found a lender to take the deal at an astronomical interest rate. I should have taken these signs and walked away from the deal, so some of this is indeed my fault, but at this point and several hours into the process, I decided to just ride it till the end. While at this point in the story, you may think to yourself, "this seems typical of a used car lot". I never would have selected autonation but my wife had a wonderful experience at the Tucson locaion, so I gave thema shot. What happened next is what really soured this experience. Two weeks after buying the vehicle, it started throwing check engine codes. Namely P0207 and P0300 which are failure in cylinder 7 fuel injector circuit and misifire. I figured I was ok since I paid the $3500 on the extended warranty. You would think so, but after calling and leaving messages on their "service center" answering service, I never connected with a human and my vehicle sat disabled for 2 weeks. I started using google, and found that I could schedule a service appointment online, which I promptly did, and arranged for the next morning to have the vehicle towed down to autonation for service. I followed with an email to the "service concierge" I was assigned to. Later the next morning I received a message back from the person saying they no longer worked at that location and could not help me get in contact with someone there who could help me! By 1pm I had still heard from nobody at Autonation even confirming they received my vehicle from tow, my wife and I started calling the voicemail xxxx system they have in place. Pressing 1 for service would not even register in the system and resulted in being disconnected. Finally, I pressed 2 for sales and was connected to someone who had no idea my car was sitting on their lot for service. They had to run around and look on the lot till they finally found my vehicle and advised I would receive a call from the service department with their findings. I never received that call. Every time we tried to get in contact with the "service department" we were advised this location did not have a "service department" any longer. We are still scratching our heads at this one. After several further attempts to navigate through the phone system, we finally got in touch with the Sales Manager Justin (who was actually a good dude and committed to helping us run this issue to ground). Once Justin had the case, we started receiving the customer service we hoped to receive through the entire process, and he helped usher the issue through the warranty service repair. Not sure how he pulled it off, because I didn't see any vehicles in repair in their facilities, and even asking for service at the front desk resulted in an employee telling me "our service department is closed". There are some serious shenanigans going on at this Autonation. Either way my vehicle was repaired at the end of the day, but to add insult to injury, it was delivered to me with 17lb of pressure in the passenger front tire and a "low tire pressure" indicator, and front driver turn signal bulb burned out. I know they aren't covered under warranty, but I wasn't even notified. As well, there were greasy hand and footprints all over my freshly detailed interior. Absolutely unacceptable to receive a vehicle back from dealership service in this condition. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would, but since Justin was a cool guy who did his best to save face in this situation, I will go ahead and submit the one star. More
