I recently had the opportunity to work with Kristian as we approached the end of our vehicle lease with another dealership. Initially, I reached out to explore the possibility of having one of two dealerships buy out our lease. Kristian invited me to visit the dealership to assess our vehicle and take it for a test drive. While the initial offer did not meet our expectations, he promptly consulted with the general manager, who was able to provide a slightly better offer. Throughout the process, I found the team to be personable, professional, and respectful. After discussing the offers with my husband, we ultimately decided to hold firm on our original request. About two weeks later, I reached out to Kristian again via text, and he presented us with an improved offer. Despite our discussions and careful consideration, the offer still did not align with our bottom line, so we chose to decline. I appreciate Kristian's hard work and dedication to securing our business, even though the timing and terms did not align for us. I would not hesitate to refer friends and family to this dealership if they are looking to sell a car, as I truly value their efforts in trying to make the sale work. More
They got me seated for 5 hours at the store to finalize a purchase. I got in the store with my vehicle already picked on line, so you would think it would be a simple and quick process, correct??! Nope!!! F purchase. I got in the store with my vehicle already picked on line, so you would think it would be a simple and quick process, correct??! Nope!!! FIVE freaking hours. No water, no coffee, no justification from the store manager or anybody. The sales guy was fine and nice to work with, but I just felt disrespected overall. That’s all. More
On May 18, 2024, I made the decision to purchase a 2018 Land Rover Range Rover at a cost of $39,995.00, while trading in a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport valued at $25,500.00. The balance of $14,081.00 was paid fo Land Rover Range Rover at a cost of $39,995.00, while trading in a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport valued at $25,500.00. The balance of $14,081.00 was paid for the Land Rover. Additionally, on the same day, I also purchased a 2016 Dodge at a cost of $13,190.00. Subsequently, on June 3rd, I repurchased the Ford Bronco at a cost of $27,496.00. On July 11th, an error in the Land Rover vehicle's display appeared, prompting me to contact Edmond, the manager who was on duty at the time of my initial purchase. Regrettably, AutoNation claimed to lack the necessary capability to diagnose the issue, leading me to seek assistance elsewhere. On July 19th, I took the vehicle to Woodies Auto Service, where a diagnostic assessment revealed a list of required repairs. The total cost of these repairs amounted to $1900.00, I paid $580.00, to Woodies, the cost of 3 diagnostics. On July 20th, I visited AutoNation in Charleston, where I was offered $28,000.00 for the Land Rover by the manager on duty, (Iash), However, due to the issues identified, After further inspection, it was determined that the vehicle had water damage in the battery area, resulting in a revised offer of $20,000.00. Ultimately, I accepted a trade-in offer of $22,000.00 for the Range Rover, opting to exchange it for a 2017 C300 Mercedes Benz. Unfortunately, my troubles did not end there, on July 25th, the check engine light illuminated in the Mercedes, potentially indicating further underlying issues. I took the Mercedes Benz to baker Mercedes was charged $300.00 to diagnose Taking into account the financial breakdown, I find myself at a significant loss within a short span of time: - Loss on Range Rover: $18,000.00 - Cost for diagnostics: $580.00 (Range Rover) - Net loss on Ford Bronco transactions: $1,996.50 Diagnostic for Mercedes $300.00 The cumulative total of my losses amounts to $20876.50, I respectfully request your consideration for reimbursement of these funds given the circumstances surrounding these transactions. I’ve sent several messages to customer.relations@autonation.com. I did receive an automated response stating my email was received and I would be contacted with 48 business hours email sent 7/26, I haven’t received a response. More
Was sold a car for a friend of mine that needed some wheels for work. I was sold the car on June 16th, 2024. TO THIS DAY, the car STILL SITS on their lot. I called the finance company and told the wheels for work. I was sold the car on June 16th, 2024. TO THIS DAY, the car STILL SITS on their lot. I called the finance company and told them they can either cancel the contract or repossess the car, I do not care which. In short, the sales woman was terrific, KUDOS to her!! Problem is this car was and IS A LEMON. 2014 Kia Forte. FIRST of all, we could not test drive it as they said they had a "Small replacement to do to the front left wheel bearing"... fair enough, repair was done... NOT. 2 days later the car was back at their location, because the front left tire roared and whined like crazy... turned out their excuse was that "a rock had gotten into the wheel" ,etc.. Now less than a week LATER, the friend was driving this 2014 Kia Forte down one of the busiest highways we have in Charleston, and it just STOPPED. . DEAD STOPPED. Police had to close off the lane to have the car MOVED to the side of the road. Had car towed (at my own insurance expense, because Auto Nation does not provide loaners or rentals even when they car they sell is a DEAD CAR)... and had it towed to A CERTIFIED KIA MECHANIC, who told me he would not even touch it. Apparently the Auto Nation 125 (or whatever) inspection did not happen to notice a major EVAC issue, which is 1 of 3 things, bad gas cap? NOPE!! Bad or rotten hoses? NOPE! It is more than LIKELY a bad engine. Had the car TOWED back to Auto Nation, and get this.. when the car was dropped off, they TOLD THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER IT WAS NOT THEIR CAR!!!!. LMFAO! (It gets better)... The tow driver showed them the temporary tag on the back which says "AUTO NATION" on it.. Speaking of WHICH!! After 6 weeks? WE HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED THE PERMANENT TAG!! I spoke with someone at this location on the phone that said that their system was "HACKED" and they are way behind schedule on issuing tags to the DMV. Huh. Let me tell that to the cop when we get pulled over for expired tags which IS A MISDEMEANOR in South Carolina and can be jail time. At this point, YES!! YOU SHOULD BE LAUGHING!!! So, I go this past Monday and speak with someone named Brad, who I thought was the GM there, this same person also spoke with my female friend a few times... Guess what... THEY ARE ACTUALLY xxxxING DENYING I WAS EVEN THERE, OR MET WITH BRAD. Well, good thing I have it all on video, as I am sure their dealership has video, and if NOT them, I made sure to drive in and park within enough cameras from surrounding businesses. THIS video will go to my attorney, who is also dying laughing at this point. Long story short, I do not give a flying F!CJ what they do with that car. I do not own the problem, THEY DO. I do not care if a repo goes on my credit report, because I do not need anything at my stage of life needing a credit report. This will be handled in the courts, and it is their problem, NOT mine. Beware this place for obvious reasons. More
I posted a car online (Facebook Marketplace). I was contacted by a man that said he was the used car buying manager. I told him that I was taking the car to carmax and that they offered me 5,800 I was contacted by a man that said he was the used car buying manager. I told him that I was taking the car to carmax and that they offered me 5,800 for the car, told him If he could get closer to 6,000 I would sell it to Autonation. Met the man that said he was the one that texted and reached out upon arriving. I give him my keys, expecting him to bring a mechanic out to scan and look over the car like every other place. He proceeded to jump in my car, floor it and break as hard as he could in your parking lot. That got my immediate attention, then I watched him pull the car out onto Hwy 17 and floor the vehicle again and speed off. This man took MY car I am trying to sell and went on a joy ride, what if he broke something, hurt the vehicle, or got in a crash. It was the most unprofessional thing I have ever witnessed. He then had the audacity to come back and tell me that the "supercharger" was making a weird sound that he had never heard before. A. The vehicle doesn't have a supercharger (it has a stock V8) B. I had just driven the vehicle all day and never heard a sound. C. Said he could only do way below what we talked about through messaging. Basically coming up with a random reason to offer an unrealistically low selling price. I am not mad about the offer because that is his prerogative, but the way he treated MY car during his "screening" was so unprofessional. I am leaving a review on every website I can to warn of these predatory practices. Even if he offered me 6K I would have walked out and sent this review because I will never support a place that treats other people's property like that. More
