Th i dropped my vehicle off on Tuesday, Jan 31 at 8:30 (my appt time) and was told it will be about 3 hours. I told them I wasn't in any hurry. The next day though I hadn't gotten a call so I called to get a status. No one answered. Tried multiple times and finally got through to someone who said the phone and internet was down. I was asked who my service manager was and was given his phone number. I called the number and it rang and rang and there was no voicemail. The next day, I tried setting an appointment to ask for a call back to try to get a status on my car. The appointment I set was cancelled by the dealership! I was mad and had a direct email to an employee, so I emailed him and got defensive in his email response back to me. Finally a service tech calls and apologizes for the inconvenience, says the parts will arrive the next day (Friday) and I'll be able to pick up the vehicle on Friday. No one called me on Friday. On Saturday, I called and asked to speak to the manager and asked for a discount. The manager agreed to some discount, said the parts would be in on Monday. By Monday at noon, I was done and went to pick up the car - they had had it over a week. When I went to pick it up, they told me again the parts would arrive the next day. (supposedly). What an ordeal! I went without a vehicle for a whole week. Didn't even get the repairs done - it was too frustrating. More
Connor McKnight and Lorena helped me out greatly in the service department. You drive up and are immediately greeted by the greeters who get you with who is going to be helping you. While I thought I had gotten good service during my recent visit, today I got a solicitation email, reminding me to fix the things that were recommended. Four things were on the solicitation list, incl recent visit, today I got a solicitation email, reminding me to fix the things that were recommended. Four things were on the solicitation list, including a new set of all four tires. Of those things listed on the solicitation, the only thing that was mentioned to me, was that one of my tires may need to be replaced. No urgency was given except a comment that the summer heat may play a role in the safety of that tire. Now the solicitation says I need all four tires? +3 other issues that were not mentioned to me? If any, or all of these are important, I would expect that a conscientious service provider would speak to me about them in person. More
I own a 2018 Camry, now has 17,000 miles. The navigation feature in the car stopped working aprox 2 years ago. I have been told by the service department, on more than one occassion, that they no longer support this feature. The last time I visited for an oil change, the service rep told me that the only way to get this feature was to switch from an Android to an IPhone, or buy a new car. I got a new phone, another Android, because the phone people said Toyota's website says they support both platforms. Long story (a week's worth of effort including a two hour visit to service department and a 2 hour phone call to Toyota's tech support) - they were unable to make things work for me. I discovered an email address within the app, and those people told me how to get it working, and was able to get it up and running on my own. BTW, the tech person put in a request for the dealership to call me on Friday to schedule a repeat visit - they never did. I am a LONG-time repeat Toyota customer and love these cars. However, I no longer have an ounce of faith in the service department. More
