First service on my new Tundra. Top of the cab of the truck was damaged at the dealership during service. Looks like it was hit while being lifted, or a heavy tool was dropped on it Top of the cab of the truck was damaged at the dealership during service. Looks like it was hit while being lifted, or a heavy tool was dropped on it. Dealership argues that the damage was there before being serviced because there was rust under the ding. Not true. Obviously, fresh damage, dinged, paint cracked, but not lifted. Service Manager chipped back the paint and made the damage worse. I asked to speak to the GM and was told he was in a meeting. That was two days ago. Still haven’t heard back from anyone. I want to know why there is rust under my paint. I wouldn’t have seen the rust if my truck had not been damaged. Is there more rust. It’s near the back window. Is there a leak?How did rust get there? At the least, I believe the damage cause by the service manager, when he chipped away the paint, needs to be repaired. More
Inconvenient experience. First time that I serviced my new truck. Service scheduler couldn’t tell me the policy around a rental car while my truck was being worked on. I left a vm for the advisor, but he never returned my call. My truck had 6 recalls, and I was charged $49 for a rental car for the day because it wasn’t deemed a safety issue. Parts had to be ordered and so now I have to schedule another visit. On top of that, they don’t even wash your car! It’s not the money that’s the issue. It’s the fact that after spending 70k+ on a vehicle, they expect loyalty on the service, but there’s just no convenience factor. I spent $49 plus a couple of hours of my day to be told that the issues were recall related and that I needed to go back once the part was in. More
