I paid almost $4000 for their Vehicle Protection Plan. When I tried to use the plan I was told that one doesn't exist for my car. Now no one will return my calls or emails. I thought this was a great dealership,...turns out I was wrong. Buyer beware. More
Excellent service, Robert was great! Worked with me to get payment early so I could pick the car up later since I had company. Love the texting feature! Worked with me to get payment early so I could pick the car up later since I had company. Love the texting feature! More
Initial contact and test drive experience was good. Worked with two individuals (Kylee and Justin T) and found both to be very helpful and responsive; overall good experience with them. Once we dec Worked with two individuals (Kylee and Justin T) and found both to be very helpful and responsive; overall good experience with them. Once we decided to buy, the sales and overall buying experience was less than desirable. Took unnecessarily long, intra dealership communication was poor, caused delays. Took some effort to get the advertised price to be reflected in the final papers. After visit experience - dealer owes us some car components, but no communication in over a week despite promising results in days. These small little things add up to sour the overall experience. Main take away is DO NOT take your vehicle to the service department at Auto Nation Tempe Toyota if you live in Arizona and honestly all Auto Nation service department’s are just as bad probably after seeing department at Auto Nation Tempe Toyota if you live in Arizona and honestly all Auto Nation service department’s are just as bad probably after seeing how corporate office still has not returned my call. I am going to try to summarize because it was so exhausting and drawn out: February 6th-Towed vehicle to stealership 2nd time for blinking CEL and was told there was bad gas(see picture) no test performed and although I asked for a sample was not provided one ($1300 for fuel cleaning) March 2nd-Had vehicle towed to Stealership for 3rd time due to blinking CEL March 6th-Was told my spark plugs were fouled and there was too much build up on the back of my valves-cost $259x2 plus $285 spark plugs. They blamed all of this on my prior bad gas, when I asked how I could possibly be responsible for that much build up after owning vehicle for 3 months, they said hang on let me check some things. March 15th-Messages dealership, no response March 20th-Called Toyota Corporate March 26th-Finally heard back from dealer and they said after a TAS case they came to the conclusion I was at fault still. I requested a manager contact me. At this point the service manager could not explain to me what exactly they did for the original fuel cleaning and then tried to mansplain to me how water settles on top of gas and he has been doing this a long time to know that my gas was filthy. I asked him to clarify twice that water sits on top of gas which he confirmed. To which I replied, sir you are incorrect, gas floats on top of water and since your visual expertise of gas is clearly anything but expert forgive me but I don’t trust your opinions and you should have tested the gas. I spoke with my lawyer at this point, he was able to recommend and reputable shop in town who in turn told me to get my car the heck away from that dealership and that there are only two trust worth dealerships in town. I immediately had it towed across town at my expense to a new dealership the next morning. March 27th-30 minutes after having my vehicle the service department at the new dealership called to tell me my vehicle was fixed and ready for pickup! Wanna know what was wrong??? One of the fuel injectors was UNPLUGGED!! Any freaking idiot should have been able to diagnose that, no engine build up, spark plugs were fine, a freaking unplugged fuel injector. In addition I had asked the other dealership to road force balance my rig 3 times and they never did, new dealership said they were torqued all wrong so they fixed that too! March 27th-I return with my husband to the other dealership to return the rental car and tell them what the other dealership found. This stupid service manager (Chris-Auto Nation Tempe Toyota) just can’t let it go, he actually insinuates that I put diesel in my car. At this point I’ve had it, I’ve worked in the auto recycling world for 10 years I am not dumb enough to put diesel in my gas tank. He says to me, well how am I suppose to know what you do to your car. Well gee you could have tested the gas originally like I asked?!? March 27th continued-When I went to pick up my car, I saw a really pretty 2024 TRD Off road in underground with a 3” lift already installed. Sadly my car even though it was fixed just didn’t feel like the happy purchase I originally made soooo I traded her in and ended up being a straight swap with a better interest rate!! My new baby has less than 100 miles 😆 Sorry I tried to keep this short, it wasn’t…..if you are in Arizona stay the xxxx away from Auto Nation Tempe Toyota! More
