AutoNation Toyota South Austin - Service Center

This was my third routine service (15K) at AutoNation Toyota South Austin and the third disaster in regard to speed of service. My first routine service (5K) took six hours while they knew I was waiting Toyota South Austin and the third disaster in regard to speed of service. My first routine service (5K) took six hours while they knew I was waiting in their lounge! ! The second routine service was only slightly less painful taking an unacceptable 3 hours. On my recent third routine visit, which was basically a tire rotation and general check of the vehicle, it took over 3.5 hours while I waited once again in their sterile waiting room. I spoke to a service manager who said they are aware of the problem. He admitted they knowingly over schedule even when customers schedule an appointment on the phone with a live customer service representative. My warning is not only for those customers who must remain at the dealership while their vehicle is serviced but also for those who buy their vehicle from AutoNation South Austin with an extended warranty. My extended warranty locks me into having to have that work performed at AutoNation. The lack of speed in service shows a total lack of respect for their customers’ time. I regret buying my truck from this dealership, especially with an extended warranty. I have called another dealership in another city who said all their routine visits are completed in an hour or up to 1.5 hours if they are really busy. I will go there next time and anticipate that they have won my business. My wife and I have been driving Toyotas exclusively for more than 30 years and purchased several cars from AutoNation South Austin. They unfortunately have lost my loyalty. More

Service in the last year has slipped tremendously, from out of town phone bank, multiple trips back for various reasons, and most recently grease hand prints all over the fabric of my driver’s side interio out of town phone bank, multiple trips back for various reasons, and most recently grease hand prints all over the fabric of my driver’s side interior. The left hand doesn’t seem to know what the right is doing, and communication is awful, I wish it weren’t so fragmented. Changes might have looked good on paper but it’s sent me car looking elsewhere. Too bad, as we use to brag on you. Additionally, I stood in the heat for 10 minutes waiting for representative, only to find him feet up on his phone not knowing he had a customer, while 6 other guys were just sitting around. I had to bring my car back recently a couple times to get a light bulb change right. When software went down recently, nobody contacted me until I drove to service, an hour away, to explain; I should’ve been called to save the trip in. I called to get information on my tire warranty but the phone bank just kept saying they are a phone bank, there was nobody to talk to. I’d all these things happened to me, imagine others experiences. More
