Sad what Dealers are doing now days. Went in for Oil change, stand stuff one would infer...oil and filter, gasket. Nope, at AutoNation they add PP115 SDC Add-on for $11 (aka motor oil treatment). I doubt my 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid manual indicates such is required. That was in addition to the normal synthetic oil replaced. Initially my net cost was $71.85 and that was after a $25 coupon from a different dealership. I asked why so much and was told the price of oil changes has gone up. Lori Dezern, she was professional, went over the bill with me and though starting at the front page proceed to detail information on second page. I said wait a minute, what is the $11 fee on the front page about. Well...of course that is what they add to oil changes now days and don't inform the customer they did it or inform them it is an $11 extra charge item. I then had that fee removed (gave me $12 refund). You know, I got to tell you, when I pay $44k plus for a suv I will be dammed if I want a Dealership adding oil treatments to my engine and not give me the option to decline prior to doing so. Now I need to go see them and find out what the heck they put in my engine and google it to see if any bad side effects might occur (one would hope not). On top of all this, I had an AutoNation coupon for a $42.99 oil change that I forgot I had at home and failed to bring with me that day. Service, normally, is good at this Dealership, barring one minor issue with wait time and the other time they screwed up and did not install a 2nd part for a trailer hitch (they reimbursed me for the cost of that job) but it made me miss a evening with family while on vacation and caused additional travel day/time and mileage to double back to a dealer place I left the travel trailer. so they could order the part..what a pain that experience was. I realize dealerships make more on service then selling cars (prior covid) though they lost me forever after getting $2k less then their nada trade-in values sheet indicated when I traded in my prior prius and ridgeline (am certain they made a killing on both when they sold them). Service department was cordial and service was great. My Camry was not due for service until July, but Gary did a quick "pit Stop" to check fluids, tires, etc. My Camry was not due for service until July, but Gary did a quick "pit Stop" to check fluids, tires, etc. More
I had to wait 2 hours for my car to be serviced and it was only when I complained that they paid any attention to me. My Service Advisor was Hope. Prior visits to dealership for regular oil change has bee was only when I complained that they paid any attention to me. My Service Advisor was Hope. Prior visits to dealership for regular oil change has been 1/2 hour. It was a standard service (oil change and tire rotation) with no issues prior to service. When I returned home the car was dripping oil after the oil change. Sloppy work, should not have oil dripping from under carriage. I was lucky that I did not park the car in my driveway. (I just had a new paver driveway installed.) Worst service I have ever had at your dealership. Called to talk to service manager. I received their voice mail and no one called me back! I may never return to your dealership for any reason! VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! More

This is my second experience with this horrible dealership and it was nothing short of Awful the second time, too. Needless to say, I won't be back. When I went to drop my car off to have the fro dealership and it was nothing short of Awful the second time, too. Needless to say, I won't be back. When I went to drop my car off to have the front-end checked, four different salespeople approached me about selling my car or buying a new car. I was there to get my vehicle serviced, not buy a new car. They were very persistent and it was NOT appreciated. I had to tell the sales guy I could barely afford to pay for these repairs to get him off my back. I dealt with Vincente. He called first to let me know I needed new brake pads and replace brake fluid, which I told him to do. He called back and said we also needed calipers because they were stuck. Later, he called to let me know the vehicle was ready. I had borrowed a car from a family member to use during this repair, so I went and picked them up and went to get my car. When I arrived, I was told something wasn't right and I would have to wait because they received the wrong part in the right box and installed it. I had to wait for the new part to arrive and be installed. Since the temp in the dealership is kept around 32 degrees, I was freezing while I waited. They gave me a 10% discount for the inconvenience. But that's not the end. When my vehicle was finally ready, three hours later, I took off out of there, only to find my foot hit the floor to try to stop! I circled back and they were surprised to see me back so soon. I let them know the brakes went to the floor to stop. By this point, it was almost 7:00 p.m. so they paid for a Lyft to take me home and kept the vehicle overnight. I live 30 minutes away from the dealer and only took it there because I was worried about the front end. The driver of the shuttle was the highpoint of the experience. He picked me up the next morning to pick up my car and the guy couldn't have been nicer. This is my second visit to this dealership and it will be my last. On my first visit, they fixed my wiring that had been chewed by rodents, but again, I had to return immediately after picking it up. They gave me a $20 off coupon and a free oil change for that experience. I guess if you live nearby you could try them, but living 30 minutes away, it's too much hassle to deal with AutoNation Toyota Pinellas Park. More
