BUYER BEWARE! Don't make our mistake and sign your money away before you understand what you are getting into. AutoNation Toyota Mall of Georgia has a non-refu Don't make our mistake and sign your money away before you understand what you are getting into. AutoNation Toyota Mall of Georgia has a non-refundable policy of $1,000.00 that they charge to your credit card when you reserve a car. They claim the following: "The $1,000 deposit is Non-refundable to cover any loss of future sale." But they don't disclose what they mean by "any loss of future sale". When I asked the General Sales Manager to give me the specific amount of the “loss of future sale”, he declined to do so. He also stated that because I had put down $1,000.00 to reserve the 2023 Toyota Sienna XSE that they already have "In Transit" (it is not a special order), I had purchased the vehicle. That is insane! 😮 I had reserved the vehicle hoping to surprise my husband because it is so hard to find. NOT! When we were able to sit down together to look at the details, we found that AutoNation Toyota Mall of Georgia also has a "non-negotiable policy" requiring that the vehicle must be bought with the following dealer add-ons (even if we want them or not): 1. Roof Rack - $999.00 2. Appearance Package - $639.00 3. Dent Package - $639.00 4. Blackout Emblem - $899.00 5. Sunroof Deflector - $299.00 6. Ceramic Tint and Screen Protector - $599.00 7. All Weather Mats - $499.00 inflating the MSRP by $4,573.00. But the vehicle did not even compare to our previous 2017 Pacifica Touring L Plus when it comes to the creature comforts and safety features. We called up the salesman and I stated the specs that would make us happy to put down hard-earned money for. And that did not include the superfluous dealer add-ons that anyone can apply to the vehicle for much less after purchase. Rather some real factory packages like the XSE Plus Package and the Entertainment Package for the kids on long road trips. Well, their stance is "take it or leave it", "You should have known what you were getting when you put up the $1,000.00 deposit”. There are more people waiting on Siennas and you should feel lucky. "You can turn around and sell it used for more". Yeah, like we are in the business of selling cars. AutoNation Toyota Mall of Georgia is and maybe its management should rethink how it represents the consumer. How did the industry get so one sided? Needless to say, I didn't "feel lucky". In fact as a woman they made me feel stupid and blamed me. After finding out about this dealership’s non-negotiable policy on a vehicle that does not check all the boxes, we decided to look around to find something that would. We were truly lucky to find a 2023 Toyota Sienna Limited (3 trim levels higher) the next day that is "In Transit" to our hometown Toyota dealership in McDonough, GA., And my hometown dealership feels lucky to have me as a customer. To the point where they did not sell me any add-ons and was perfectly happy with getting the MSRP as delivered. The Limited came better equipped than the XSE, as evidenced by the over $4K surcharge between the trim levels, and also included the Entertainment Package which we wanted. We reserved it for a $500.00 REFUNDABLE deposit. Even though It's 3 trim levels higher the out the door price was just around $1K more. That's $59K for a Limited with the configuration that is good for my family compared to $58K for an XSE with the configuration that is good for AutoNation. The decision to cut our losses was a no-brainer. The AutoNation General Sales Manager had no problem telling us that he is keeping our $1,000.00 for his troubles and selling his overpriced XSE to the next lucky customer. I hope this sincere review of my experience can help other buyers not to be treated like I was. More
I have dealt with another Toyota service center in metro Atlanta and by far this center gives much greater service. The staff is friendly and helpful and I have never felt the upscale…..just service for wha Atlanta and by far this center gives much greater service. Had an 11am oil change appointment. We arrived 30 minutes early and it still took 3 hours. The manager ended up coming out to assist because several people came in and left before us. A We arrived 30 minutes early and it still took 3 hours. The manager ended up coming out to assist because several people came in and left before us. After we complained to manager they had oil change done in less than 30 mins. They also tried to upcharge my mom who doesn't speak very well English and charge $280 for the oil change. Once I questioned why is the oil change so much they then advised they suggest a tire alignment every 10k miles and rotation. I understand a rotation but not an alignment. Especially not on a car she just bought in February. They removed the extras after I questioned them and oil change was reduced to $80 More
