We have purchased two cars from this dealership and have had them serviced here for about ten years. We even brought our Lexus to be serviced here once its warranty expired. We were always pleased with the had them serviced here for about ten years. We even brought our Lexus to be serviced here once its warranty expired. We were always pleased with the cost, the knowledge, honesty and friendliness of the personnel. I don’t know what has happened to Autonation. We recently brought in my Prius c to have its 6 month service. I noticed that the friendly manager Dan wasn’t there and a lot of familiar faces were gone. The service area was empty which surprised me because it’s usually busy. My service advisor, Tom Nguyen, started filming my car for what he called an inspection. We then sat down to do the paperwork. He noticed that I had taken really good care of my car and had had all servicing done on it. My car had about 51,000 miles on it which was low considering it’s a 2013 Prius C. I left feeling good because the car has given me almost no problems. A few hours later I received a video from Tom showing a mechanic looking at some inner portion of my car. My husband called to find out what we were sent. Tom informed us that the cars timing belt cover was leaking. He said it would take 20 hours of labor and cost us $4400. We were shocked and enraged. We told him to hold off while we called our independent mechanic. Our mechanic laughed upon hearing this and said it was an involved job but shouldn’t cost nearly that much. Later Tom from Autonation called and said they could do it for $3700. We asked what had happpened to Autonation because they used to be good. We no longer trust them and will never go there to purchase or service a vehicle. I’m kind of sad because I like Don the shuttle driver very much. We ended up taking our car to an independent service. He determined there was a small leak in an o-ring which cost us $138.00. There was no leak in my timing belt cover. Again this place has lost very loyal customers More
Took our 2018 Toyota Highlander to Toyota Irvine for 40,000 mile service. I have always taken the Highlander since we purchase it in 2018. Why? I took in a 2007 Avalon because the power remotes functioned poorly. First time the service advisor didn’t call me for two days. When I finally reached him, he admitted that they had not even looke functioned poorly. First time the service advisor didn’t call me for two days. When I finally reached him, he admitted that they had not even looked at the car. I took the car back and brought it back a week later. Same thing, he didn’t call me for two days. When I finally got a hold of him he said the antenna was $900 and service would cost $2000. But the part was back ordered and Toyota most likely was not planning to make the part. He still charged me $189 for diagnostics. More
The service center for this dealership is always busy, so I tend to cut them some slack. However, they have always been prompt and attentive while my car is in for service. I especially like that they introduced online billing and payment to save time when picking up. Finally, all the service employees I have worked with have been excellent. More
