I worked with Eric Rodriquez and he was very friendly and helpful with my trans service on my 2009 rx350.. So far the work was done right and no leaks. I had a 9:15 appointment for a normal oil / filter change. I didn’t see my service advisor for 45 mins and his “estimate” came out to $445 with additional “recommendations” that are not recommending change. Car was “washed.” When I went to pick it up, it had a large, 4 inch grease smudge on the driver side door. The oil / filter change took two hours and was $78. This is the only Toyota dealership in my area, so I have to to there for service. More
I made an appointment for 8am on a Friday and got there late. They honored the appointment anyway and took the car in at 9am for an oil change and tire rotation and gave the car back washed and serviced at late. Autonation Irvine is the only place I take my Toyota. Also, the waiting room is very comfortable and has: couch seating, a/c, work stations for laptops, TV, free snack bar with water bottles/juice boxes, granola bars, etc and a coffee machine with Starbucks coffee or hot chocolate or hot water for tea. Also there are vending machines for extra snacks and a kids room with a small table and chairs in case you have the kids with you. Don’t forget the iPad! More
Accountability and Customer Service. My last two services at this location have been below Toyota Standards. The first time went in for a quick fluid check and refill. My car was returned and the service adviser left the keys in the car and reach out to ask for better service in the future but no response back from anyone. I let it go because people make mistakes and it was not worth it to go further with it. The second time I went in for an oil change and I had a mechanical issue and returned my car to be fixed. I had to take it to another location for a temp fix. I towed my car from the site of the mechanical issue to the closest shop. Return it home and called Toyota to fix it. I did not receive a call right away but after 3 days of calling, I heard from the Service Drive Manager who stated he would repair my car only at their discretion and the best judgment of the shop. I asked them to replace the oil pan because the drain plug was spinning and the new fix was more of a bandaid. He told me he would add an oversize plug to fix the issue without considering my request. I did not agree with the fix and reached out to the General Manager to help but the GM did not change his mind and did not reach out to me even after I told him the problem. He only reach out after I told him the problem was not fixed. He told me that he did not reach out because he assumed that the problem was fixed. The worst part of all is my car is not getting genuine Toyota parts but the GM stated that the form clearly stated that they would install aftermarket parts and the service adviser told me. I was not told that the oil change came with after-market parts instead of the Genuine Toyota parts. More
The service writer, Joel was excellent. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars is that the method for picking up vehicles is very disorganized. When you walk in to the service area, a customer must find their service writer, who is almost always busy doing their job. There should be a system so that the customer goes to a specified location for help. More
