AutoNation Toyota Irvine - Service Center

In the past, I have received great service form this dealer. My complaint is with the person who did the work. I brought the car in for an oil change only. I said no to all the other upcharge items si dealer. My complaint is with the person who did the work. I brought the car in for an oil change only. I said no to all the other upcharge items since the car had only been driven for a little over 2,000 miles since the last oil change which was 9 months before. It was nice to receive a video showing me what a wonderful job the tech had done and all the things that were good with the car. Except for the cabin filter. In the video, he showed the filter with many small leaves from the tree which was growing near the car. He said the filter should be changed. The video ended. I was wondering what he did to the filter before he placed it back in the compartment. Today I opened the compartment and found the filter still had all the small leaves from the video. I turned it over and gently hit the ground with it and all the leaves fell out. Nothing left in the filter. I replaced it and closed all of the covers. That is poor customer service. They were upset that I said no to the upcharges in the beginning which included the cabin filter and they decided the poor customer service was the proper way to handle the situation. I was going to give 5 stars until I checked the filter my self. Three stars was a gift. Good customer service would have been to show the tech gently hitting the ground with the filter as I had done and suggesting that when I return (10 months and 2000 miles) I should replace the filter. I brought my 2019 4Runner in for a standard 30K service. Manny (Service Advisor) and Arturo (Technician) went above and beyond good service. It was GREAT! I was at AutoNation Toyota Irvine on March 23 2023 for a maintenance appointment for my Sienna. Everyone at the dealership is great, they clearly care about the customer and don't try to push for any work maintenance appointment for my Sienna. Everyone at the dealership is great, they clearly care about the customer and don't try to push for any work or repairs if you say you're not interested. That's why I recommend this dealership. However, they have become incredibly expensive, their markups are off the charts when compared with other reputable businesses. I did my research on prices for what was needed for this appointment, and there were much less expensive options for the same work. The reason I went to this dealership this time around is that I only needed a tire rotation and oil change, so I chose convenience over price. However, I'm likely to go elsewhere from now on for future maintenance or repairs. More

Very organized method to drop off cars, car was repaired to my expectation. Pick up of car was a little confusing as to where to go. Waked in waiting area, but then had to walk into garage. I had a great time at the car service center. Tony was the guy who took care of my car and he was super nice and helpful.
