I originally bought my car from this dealership. It's a used 2016 with ~55k miles. The service I received when buying my car was great. Of course, this was after they found out I was going to buy my car with cash. (In other reviews, you'll see that other clients have gotten the run around only to find out that this dealership wont help them due to bad credit.) If I could give this review negative stars, I would. However, I'll just divide up this sole star to the good boys and girls. Eric Yune in sales is 100% customer service. He will definitely go out of the way for you. Sadly, Eric Yune cannot carry the weight of the dealership alone. Maybe if the rest of the dealership (service department included) picked up a book on basic customer service, then they'd have gotten atleast 4 stars. Eric Yune was great. The rest of the staff was extremely slow. The overall process to purchase with cash was 4-5 hours long. There were people there before me and they were still waiting when I was leaving. Expect a 6 or 7 hour wait if you are financing. Car was clean and waxed. Tank filled and ready to go. Here's the issue. Two weeks later, that's when strange noises, swaying, and vibrations started to happen. Driving on the freeway, I felt completely out of control of my car. So, I took my car to the service department (same dealership). I called ahead and made an appointment and spoke to a great service rep, Shantay (spelling?). She got me setup to come in at 8 am on a monday which is best since weekends are extremely busy. I made sure to arrive early and be ready to hand my car over. When I got into the garage, I wasn't greeted. Nobody informed me of who to talk to. I was left standing there completely lost. So I walked over to a gentleman sitting at a desk and asked who to talk to about an appointment, which I was rudely instructed to wait by my car and someone will help me. Okay, cool. Ill wait. Another 5 min goes by and Im greeted by a tapping on my driver side window by a man name, "Joe". I didn't have to guess. I knew that Joe hasn't worked a day in customer service just by how he greeted me, "What can we do for you". I went on to explain that I purchased this car two weeks ago- blah blah blah. And thats when I was interupted- Joe didn't want to hear it at all. He cuts me off and says again, "What can we do for you". I just cut to the chase and asked for an inspection of the noises I hear. But of course, thats after he scurries off to a teammate to exclaim, "I got a customer complaint". Rude. He comes back, jots down some notes and shoos me off. Off to work I go via one of their shuttles, which, btw, do not take. You will either be stranded for hours waiting, or you will be late to wherever it is you need to go. But hey, it's free. You've been warned. ONE AND HALF DAYS goes by and I haven't heard anything about my car. No calls. Nothing. So I call. After talking to roughly EIGHT different people across various departments, nobody knows who's working on my car or what it's status is. At one point, someone even called me to ask about my missed appointment for Monday at 8 am. Scary. Did you guys lose my car? That's when I requested to talk to a manager. A manager calls. His name is David. David, you are a light in that dim dealership. Take Eric Yune and run away. Far away. Anyways, David calls to inform me that the tech just looked at my car (A day and half later- no service done). He then tells me the tech didn't find anything wrong. At that point, that's when I requested to have my car ready for pick-up to take my business elsewhere. I got the same service as the first time. No greeting, no direction, Im an annoyance. So I found the nearest body and asked where to go. Was sent to the cashier. Seems like customary protocol. Pay and go. I waited 30 min. I paid $0.00 (obviously). I take the "valet" ticket to the garage. They lost my keys. AND they lost my car. Joe's desk was heavily searched. 15 min of searching, and 15 min later, my car comes around the corner. Never coming here again. More
All the service staff were excellent but the shuttle driver Don was a nightmare. He shouldn’t be working there. He was angry, speeding like a maniac, 1/2 hour late picking us up the first time and the driver Don was a nightmare. He shouldn’t be working there. He was angry, speeding like a maniac, 1/2 hour late picking us up the first time and then 1/2 hour early to pick us up the next time. Then, he came barging into our massage spa, loudly disturbing and embarrassing my wife and I and the other patrons while we were in the middle of our massage. Then, with no apology, speeds back to the dealership giving us grief all the way for having our phones off while in the spa, even though he was 1/2 hour early. This rude, scary maniac is a completely inappropriate employee for such a fine dealership. My guess is there was no background check done on this one and it makes me nervous even writing this for fear of retaliation. More
Toyota of Irvine ruined my car on a recall. It cost me 12,000.00out of pocket for a new engine from a shop that actually knew what they were doing. This AutoNation Toyota is a RIP OFF!!! There are numerous Toyota dealerships in the area and with one of the few I normally visit being closed I decided to come to Toyota of Irvine. This dealership is a rip Toyota dealerships in the area and with one of the few I normally visit being closed I decided to come to Toyota of Irvine. This dealership is a rip off and lacks customer service for new customers in just about every way. 1. brought in a Lexus and they wouldn’t honor a 25% off on an oil change coupon I printed off their website. Service advisor Thomas Kolb said since it’s not a Toyota so he won’t honor the coupon. I have NEVER had this issue with not one Toyota dealer in the area. It’s a Lexus, same car! 2. Said it can take up to 2 hours for an oil change even though I had an appointment! 3. $90 for a synthetic oil change when the actual Lexus dealer is $129. How this could have been remedied and eliminated the chance of an angry customer is honoring a coupon on your site. The coupon also clearly doesn’t state Toyota’s only. I’m here sitting in disgust in the service department and will never come back here again. Stay away from this place. Toyota’s aren’t rare and neither are Toyota dealers. Kayvon Larry More
This is the second time the car has been brought in a week span for low tire pressure in the right tire. Both times the repairs were said to take minimal time as it has been very slow, this did not end u week span for low tire pressure in the right tire. Both times the repairs were said to take minimal time as it has been very slow, this did not end up being the case. The first time my girlfriend brought in her car and was told the missing 20 psi was because of the cold 65 degree temperature. Needless to say this expert opinion took an hour, I hope he didn’t hurt his brain. Now I am bringing in the car and am told that the tire patch repair that was done was poorly placed and it needs a new tire. Why was this repair done in the first place then? Do I really need a tire because the tire goes flat every three days? Did my rim damage the side wall. Well never know but you can count on Toyota making you wait and giving you the worst prices for services. More
Worst service and over changed me This is the worst service and dealership ever. The service advisor Manuel Moreno tried to over charge me for a oil change by 40$ saying it was 115$ fo This is the worst service and dealership ever. The service advisor Manuel Moreno tried to over charge me for a oil change by 40$ saying it was 115$ for a simple oil change when I called back to get the price they told me oil change was only 74.95 which I remembered the last time I went there for oil change, being same price. then after I just had a 100k miles-$340- service they said I need 120k service only 20k miles later and that's $600 plus which is basically oil change and spark plugs. I waited 10 mins for anyone to even check me in or say anything to me. Then they told me I had to wait 45min to get a shuttle back to pick up my car when I was 3 mins away. I had to uber back to get my car. Customer service was basic if even up to standards. They say they give a 10% discount for being aaa but he didn't want to give it to me then finally did. Seems like they over Charge to make money and pretend to give a discount. This is the worst encounter I have ever had with a dealer and service department. And terrible “car wash” Would never recommend here. I would rather take it to jiffy lube. More

After they returned We had a 2011 Sienna repaired at Irvine Toyota for an airbag recall and wire harness recall the repair was completed on July 25th. After they returned the car to us the built in entertainment system and DVD player was not functioning. Steve Smith the service manager stated that the dash was taken apart and electrical work was performed but it just coincidentally broke just after they completed the work. We have been charged $300 for replacement of an electrical component to restore the DVD player and Satellite radio. Irvine Toyota had our car for a total of 13 days including the recall repairs. Steve Smith was extremely uncooperative and took no responsibility for their damage to our car, the poor customer service or how long it took for them to do the work. Do not under any circumstances take your vehicle to Irvine Toyota for any service. Manager Steve Smith is dishonest and unethical. More

don't trust their Service I paid over $400 for various service at AutoNation Toyota Irvine. A week later, my Toyota would not start. AAA technician replaced my battery after I paid over $400 for various service at AutoNation Toyota Irvine. A week later, my Toyota would not start. AAA technician replaced my battery after he showed me the battery testing result (very weak). I then remembered my engine struggled a bit when I tried to start it … a few days before I took the vehicle in for service at this dealer! I spoke, on the phone, to the service manager at AutoNation Toyota Irvine and explained that my paid invoice showed “GBATT BATTERY GREEN GOOD TO GO,” when the truth is, my battery was weak and needed replacement. The Service Manager said he would call me back in 10 minutes but he never did. This is a customer’s worst fear – how can I trust this dealer to do work on my Toyota? It brought back memories many, many years ago when our Toyota wiper got damaged at this dealer (via their car wash) … they didn’t do anything to fix/replace it – they just don’t care. They are dishonest and untrustworthy! More
