I went in for an oil change service with an appointment and was told it would take an hour and a half with a car wash. I was okay with waiting but it wasn't done until three hours later. There was no commu and was told it would take an hour and a half with a car wash. I was okay with waiting but it wasn't done until three hours later. There was no communication except for me asking the cashier if my truck was ready. I was finally informed by the service guy it was ready. I paid and I gave my ticket to the porter to bring my truck around it took another twenty plus minutes and was not washed. I called and complained to the service manager about my experience and all that was offered was for me to bring my truck down to get washed. I guess if you pay extra for a service contract they don't care because they already have your money. More
Do NOT leave personal belongings in the car! Consider yourself warned, do not leave personal belongings in your vehicle if you take it in for service, which I will never do with AutoNation Toyota Consider yourself warned, do not leave personal belongings in your vehicle if you take it in for service, which I will never do with AutoNation Toyota Irvine again. Upon picking up my car, which was in for Due Bill service, I realized that it had been completely cleared of all of my personal belongings (except for my insurance card, which was nice of them to leave me) and the car was as impersonal as the day I drove it home. One of the managers, Nazem, came out and looked at the car and saw that it was empty, I showed him the pictures of my belongings that I took before dropping off the car for service. He denied that anything like that could happen at their dealership, then went on to tell me that the work was outsourced and that my car was at a 3rd party service center for 2 weeks (to refurbish a factory head unit)! On top of that, they used 1/2 a tank of gas and left me on EMPTY with the fuel light on. At this point, I felt violated. Nazem was telling me that they would make this right and that I shouldn't feel violated because AutoNation is such a BIG and REPUTABLE company. I left that night feeling sick to my stomach for hours. Not only was my car void of ALL of my personal belongings, but the service was not even complete, meaning that I had to return to this place that has caused me literal pain. After returning for the remaining service to be done and to talk to a manager about what happened to my car while it was in their possession, the used car manager (Mitch) told me that he would let me know what they decide to do before the end of business day. I waited for weeks before deciding to call them back, no response. I finally get a call from Nazem (over a month after the incident occurred) telling me that they will not be helping me with my belongings because "their research showed that no one had gone into the car while with them and the loaner car you returned smelled of marijuana." He told me that he smelled it the night I returned the loaner, but did not say anything that night (or the other 2 times I returned for service that was not completed the first time they had the car for 2 weeks) to give me the benefit of the doubt. What does that mean? It was a 2 year old loaner with 10k miles. He accused me of smoking marijuana in the car to get out of paying for my personal belongings that were taken out of my car while it was being serviced by Autonation Toyota Irvine. They will say anything to get out of taking care of a new customer and righting wrongs. I still feel violated and lied to. More
