AAA technician replaced my battery after I paid over $400 for various service at AutoNation Toyota Irvine. A week later, my Toyota would not start. AAA technician replaced my battery after he showed me the battery testing result (very weak). I then remembered my engine struggled a bit when I tried to start it … a few days before I took the vehicle in for service at this dealer! I spoke, on the phone, to the service manager at AutoNation Toyota Irvine and explained that my paid invoice showed “GBATT BATTERY GREEN GOOD TO GO,” when the truth is, my battery was weak and needed replacement. The Service Manager said he would call me back in 10 minutes but he never did. This is a customer’s worst fear – how can I trust this dealer to do work on my Toyota? It brought back memories many, many years ago when our Toyota wiper got damaged at this dealer (via their car wash) … they didn’t do anything to fix/replace it – they just don’t care. They are dishonest and untrustworthy! More

Horrible and dishonest service We did the 100000 mile service on our Toyota Venza. They car was working perfectly fine and we thought to keep up the maintenance no place is better t We did the 100000 mile service on our Toyota Venza. They car was working perfectly fine and we thought to keep up the maintenance no place is better that the dealer. Wrong!!! Originally we had to be the transmission and engine oil change which did cost us $500. Then they told us that the battery cable was also corroded so we changed that as well. They gave us the green light on everything else. In the next day the the stopped completely in middle of the road. Found out the battery was dead. So we purchased the batter. Couple of days later the battery light came on and now the alternates is bad. Coincidence? I think not. When you put too much load on the battery during the test you can actually damage the batter and the cell in the alternator. Now they are asking for another $700 for service. Disgusted with this dishonest dealer. More

Not wanting to spend a lot of time talking on the phone we came to a deal purely via text and email. I was a bit worried that things would change once I went there to get the car, you know the way car salesmen are, but they delivered everything they promised and more. Thank you Tom Hlousek, and the rest of the people I interacted with during my time at your dealership, truly a great experience. More

I purchase per own certify car from them which you expect their inspector check car So I OVER trust them and didn't check car as normally you do with on street car dealer I trust their brand of service. Here is what I found out after delivery. BUT 1- passenger and driver mat MISSING. 2- windows key won't work in driver door.(you expect car was inspected but it wasn't) 3- I called one of Sales manager and she said I will get back to you and she didn't even call me. 4-I called sales person who sold the car to me he said I will see what can I do "sounds like he is doing favor to me". 5- Backup camera is after market and don't have setting option. in end don't trust them and make sure you check every things before paying them. Finance trys to sell you All went ok. Never go on weekend. You edit forever. When we finally got into finance, they did everything they could to sell you a extended warrant All went ok. Then he says he will give us employees cost and when we checked it out later, is was a worthless warranty. To much pressure. Went to another Dealer and bought a car for other daughter. No pressure and in and out fast. Never go back to Irvine More

BAR does not know there are so many complaints out there about this business, because they are not hearing them! I think few people know about the Bureau of Automotive Repair (State of California Consumer Affairs). Better Business Bureau gives this business a D-! In my experience, Autonation's business practice is to steal from as many customers as they think they can get away with! More

I was shock that nerve touch up paint and left hub caps loose fall off while driving . I heard in service dept that a customers fell off "oh yeah those never stay on" You have purchase a whole four pack from Toyota. They also didn't hand me my keys when my car was ready or tell where to find it. I had demand my keys back. Toyota corp could verify general mgr contacted me . The dealer I brought Toyota sold me a bran dnew car damage! xxxx! More
