This is the second time the car has been brought in a week span for low tire pressure in the right tire. Both times the repairs were said to take minimal time as it has been very slow, this did not end u week span for low tire pressure in the right tire. Both times the repairs were said to take minimal time as it has been very slow, this did not end up being the case. The first time my girlfriend brought in her car and was told the missing 20 psi was because of the cold 65 degree temperature. Needless to say this expert opinion took an hour, I hope he didn’t hurt his brain. Now I am bringing in the car and am told that the tire patch repair that was done was poorly placed and it needs a new tire. Why was this repair done in the first place then? Do I really need a tire because the tire goes flat every three days? Did my rim damage the side wall. Well never know but you can count on Toyota making you wait and giving you the worst prices for services. More
Another BAIT & SWITCH! Total waste of time. Awful experience. I never had a such an awful experience with any other car dealer. I was interested in buying 2017 Toyota Camr Total waste of time. Awful experience. I never had a such an awful experience with any other car dealer. I was interested in buying 2017 Toyota Camry. I had asked for out of door price. Their Salesman Mr K. sent me the out of door price. I agreed on the price. I took an appointment for test drive at 7pm as I was planning to visit their office after work. They also text me at 3pm for appointment confirmation and I replied Yes. We reached their office at 7pm. Mr K told me that the car I was looking for has been sold. So car was gone in few hours Isn't it unbelievable? Surprisingly, Mr K got another car with exact same model and make 2017 Toyota car with 2K more mileage and was asking $950. We did car inspection. Its rear door seem to have some work done recently. Paint was looking fresh on the door. I asked for Car Fax report. Mr K was reluctant to give me the Car Fax. I got Car Fax report. I didn't see the history of this car maintenance for whole year in the Car fax Report. I asked Mr K why is that? He didn't give me any convincing answer. I thought something is fishy. I told Mr K I am not interested in this car and left. Also, he was trying to charge me 7.50% interest rate for the car while we agree upon interest rate of 3.5% depending upon my good credit. Total shady business. Will never go there again. More
Worst dealer I have ever been to in my life. They claim that they have cars for sale on their website, get you into the dealer and say the car is sold. But happy to show you the brand new cars on the lot. that they have cars for sale on their website, get you into the dealer and say the car is sold. But happy to show you the brand new cars on the lot. The GM is a rotten, miserable man who hates his job and speaks to customers like they are insignificant. More
Military Should Take Their Business Somewhere Else On the evening of Thursday 07, 2019 I showed interest in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 online. I was contacted by Trevor a salesman at AutoNation T On the evening of Thursday 07, 2019 I showed interest in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 online. I was contacted by Trevor a salesman at AutoNation Toyota Irvine on 9101 Research Dr. He was pleasant to talk to on the phone and confirmed the vehicle was available. I was eager to see the vehicle so I let him know I would come the next day on Friday 08, 2019 after work and I had financing through my credit union. He was very patient with me and sent a few pics of the vehicle to me via text. I arrived at the dealership on Friday 08, 2019 around 5:45PM and a different salesman introduced himself to me by the name of John. John informed me that Trevor was busy and that he would be taking care of me. He asked me the usual questions in order to prequalify me including where I came from, where I worked, and what did I do for a living. Since I left from work and wanted to avoid traffic I went to the dealership in my work clothes and boots. My job is labor intensive and a nice truck was functional and a gift to myself for my hard work. I couldn’t afford a new truck so I was looking for a used one. Upon seeing the vehicle I was surprised at its great condition and low mileage. On the way to the vehicle John asked if I was in the military and he thanked me for my service. Overall the exterior of the vehicle was in good condition however they advertised it as having the Z71 package. This was not true and the sunroof did not work. We started the deal after the test drive. I asked John to see the manager, Tim, so I could ask him about fixing the sunroof and taking $500.00 off for not having the Z71 package. I looked at the website for AutoNation Toyota Irvine and noticed that they were Military friendly and that TIER 1 credit for this vehicle (740+) was advertised at 6.97% APR. Tim thanked me for my service but said there was no negotiating the price which I was made aware of by Trevor earlier that day. I did not feel I was negotiating, I believed it was fair to ask for $500.00 off since the sunroof did not work and they misrepresented it as having the Z71 package. He explained that it was “AS IS” and then furnished the KBB of the vehicle with the Z71 package not included reflecting only $100.00 less than when it was included. This surprised me a great deal because I thought this package was much more but the reevaluation of the vehicle with it was nearly the same. I still liked the truck despite the characteristic “bait-and-switch” tactics that they were pulling. Since my credit union was going to handle the financing I had to agree on one of their interest rates from one of their banks so I could take the vehicle off the lot. John informed me that my interest rate would be 14.99% without looking at my credit. I told him that his dealerships’ website advertised 6.97% with TIER 1 credit. He informed me that the he hadn’t looked at his dealerships’ listing of the vehicle and regardless of what the site stated they would not honor the 6.97% and I would have to agree on 14.99% to move the deal forward. If I didn’t agree to their interest rate they were going to sell the vehicle to someone else. This is where John and I started to disagree and his support and friendliness to a Military Veteran faded. I told him to run my credit and then we could negotiate a rate but his answer was simply, “No”. With no justification except “the age of the vehicle and mileage” which was contradictory to what the dealership was advertising online. He came back and told me my credit was “good” but “the rate is still 14.99%.” I asked him my score and he said, “775” and then I asked him what constitutes “Good” and what constitutes “Excellent”. He insisted that my credit was just “Good.” The Finance Manager, Kim, introduced herself to me and complimented me on my excellent credit score and asked, “Would you allow us to compete with that rate?” I agreed but my salesman, John, told her that I was going to pay 14.99% and since I had my own financing what difference does it make? I told him in that case just give me “6 or 7 or 8 or 9%” using his rational since I was going to get my own financing anyway. I asked Kim if we could talk in private and she sat me down in her office and John followed us inside the office. He asked if he could come in while we discussed rates and I said “No”. I told Kim that he was trying to bully me into a rate reserved for bad credit. I am trying to explain in detail what transpired that evening between John and I, and I remember him threatening, “if you don’t agree with these terms then we will sell the truck to someone else so what is it going to be?” I asked, “Aren’t you my salesperson? What do you have to gain by losing this deal to another salesman? Then you have nothing.” I urged him to stick with me. This was my first experience asking the salesman to continue with the paperwork. I am not sure if this is John’s sales technique or this is the way Autonation trains their sales team. Tim gave John the deal to give to me so it was Tim pushing this ridiculous interest rate. Tim resisted correcting the KBB price even when I found the original vehicle sticker that made no mention of a Z71 package. Autonation Toyota Irvine priced the vehicle competitively with other vehicles similar to it. They got me in the door 51 miles away from my home. Is it still a good deal when you are bullied into a 14.99% interest rate? That was close to $11,000.00 in finance charges. I don’t believe they would have changed the interest rate if I did not have my own financing. Even Kim, the finance manager, changed her mind about being competitive with my finance company. The advertised rate online is inconceivable and they insisted that I agree to 14.99%. So Kim gave me 5 days to secure the check from my credit union which was better than the 3 days John and Tim were giving me. When John originally approached me with the deal he said I had 3 days starting from Saturday. That meant I would have to hand them a check on Monday because my credit union is not open on weekends. Tim and John wanted to trap me in this deal. A moment later John said, “We will give you until Wednesday.” Yes, I had financing secured but getting together with my credit union on Monday and getting them to cut a check and put it in the mail and hoping it would arrive at the dealership on time did not sit well with me. On Monday I went to my credit union. They tried to contact the dealership to let them know they were going to mail the check but no one from finance would return their call. With the terrible treatment I received at the dealership I was convinced they would lose the check in order to lock me in their horrible deal so I decided to take off from work and hand them the check personally. Since I had to pick up my children at school by 2:30pm I didn’t have much time to drive 62 miles from work to the dealership and back to Los Angeles. I called the dealership and left 2 messages with finance at 12:30PM to let them know I was coming in and would drop off the check. No one returned my phone calls and when I arrived at the dealership I witnessed 2 finance guys watching a cellphone and entertaining themselves which I am sure was work related. I realize why they couldn’t return my phone call because these guys were hard at work. The next day, Tuesday 12th, 2019, I didn’t feel confident with the dealership. I asked my credit union if their check had been cashed and was still worried that this unscrupulous dealership was going to lose my check or figure out some way to trap me in their deal. I called the dealership on Wednesday 13th, 2019 and left 2 messages and talked with Lawrence in finance. He said, “You have nothing to worry about,” but I did not trust AutoNation Toyota Irvine. After my awful experience with Tim and John I was not going to feel better until they had cashed my credit unions’ check. I received a call back from Kim later that day but the anxiety I felt from being potentially trapped in an awful deal and the Salesman threatening to sell the truck to another customer if I did not accept their terms left an awful impression on me. If you’re a Military Service Member and are thinking of buying a vehicle from these guys make sure it’s a good deal and you have your own financing. Online, these guys advertised options that my vehicle did not have and offered interest rates that they had no intention of honoring once I got to the dealership. In my case, I drove 62 miles from Los Angeles on a Friday and it took me 2.5 hours to get there. I invested my time driving to the dealership and the dealership used this to push their terribly high APR. As for my Silverado 2500HD…The sunroof doesn’t work and I replaced the thermostats because the motor wasn’t heating up to the right temperature which caused the heater to not blow hot air. My brake pedal was squeaking so I decided to shoot some lubricant at the joint and noticed the hydrobooster was leaking and I had to replace it. All the shocks had to be replaced, purchased a spare key and fob, and I changed the fuel filter since there was no documentation of it being changed. Even though the CarFax said the dealer installed running boards, I had to purchase and install running boards as well. I understand it’s a used truck and I bought it “As-IS”, as John and Tim kept saying to me but if you aren’t a mechanic and you are considering buying a used vehicle from these guys, I would stay far away. Listen to me Brother’s-In-Arms, the salesman, the desk manager, and finance are shady. While I was in finance, I had to sign off on the Carfax which was stating AutoNation Toyota Irvine installed running boards. I told the finance guy that my truck didn’t have running boards. The store manager came into the office and said CarFax made a mistake and that it should have said “taken off running boards.” There were many inconsistencies with this dealership. If you have as much patience, love for Chevy Trucks, and stupidity as I do then by all means check them out. If you want to be treated with dignity and respect stay away from this dealership. If your salesman is John and Tim is desking your deal get ready to experience the slimy underbelly of car sales. Veterans, don’t let their website fool you with smiling Soldiers shaking the hands of their salesman and driving off in a brand new car. These guys will hem you up in an outrageously high interest rate and tell you your credit is “Alright” when you really have “Excellent” credit. If they came at me with 14.99% interest when I had 775 credit score imagine if it was 680. They would push 22% or 30% APR. The employee handling my car loan at my credit union had worked on loans for 15+ years and never seen an interest rate that high. This dealership saw me in my work clothes and boots and old truck and pushed their terms and threatened to sell the truck to someone else if I didn’t agree to their terms. My salesman who would rather lose his sale than work with the rate which was being pushed by Tim, the desk man. This was my awful experience with AutoNation Toyota Irvine on 9101 Research Drive in Irvine, California. More

The majority of their cars have been in accidents or had damage. ******** I dealt with a sales lady that wasn't very knowledgeable in the car sales area. When I questioned some inconsistencies and damage to the cars, she just flew by the question and ignored it. When it came to purchasing, I requested a contract so that I can provide to my CU to finance the car. Well, MACK (the manager) sent the contract and it was the incorrect cost. He increased the cost of the car over $1000. When I requested the contract to be revised to match the print out they provided of all the fees and etc, he simply added in a down payment to make the cost go down. This was to make it seem like it was corrected but in fact was cheating me. **********My recommendation: STEER CLEAR*********** More
I really regret giving this establishment any business. If you want someone to question your intelligence and be made a fool of, then this is the establishment for you to take your hard earned money to. The If you want someone to question your intelligence and be made a fool of, then this is the establishment for you to take your hard earned money to. The amount of unnecessary distress I have been caused is ridiculous. I will not mention the individual’s name that did this on a public platform but rest assured that I will be contacting management, Human Resources, and headquarters. I am appalled. No one should be shunned, lied to ( I was given false information that could of cost me hundreds of dollars if I did not question it) and treated so poorly. More

Went in on a Monday to buy a new 2019 4Runner. The sales rep was a really good guy named "Q". He found a car we wanted at another AutoNation Toyota dealership. Q mentioned that they would deal a bit on the MSRP price. I do realize that the 19's had just come out, but the 19 4Runner is virtually the same car as the 18. Nothing really new. Tuesday, Q works his xxx off getting a "hold" on the car we want. He goes and inspects the car, checks mileage and checks for any damage. All is good. This is Q's day off and he does this on his own time. Great effort. Wednesday rolls around and again this is Q's day off. He meets me at Irvine Toyota on his own time. He goes back and forth to the sales manager (didn't get his name, so I'll just call him "idiot") trying to get anything off the MSRP. This idiot wouldn't budge a penny off the MSRP. The idiot sales manager just gave a dopey look, shrugged and said "No way". What a waste of time for me and Q, who worked his xxx off, on his own time, trying to sell a vehicle for a reasonable price. We walked out. 30 minutes later, we showed up at another Toyota dealership, got a great deal, and within an hour drove off the lot with a new car. Exactly the same specs as the the vehicle we tried to buy from Irvine. Bottom line, there is absolutely no reason for anybody, at any time, to buy a vehicle from AutoNation Toyota of Irvine. There are much better dealerships out there. Go to Huntington Beach, Long Beach and especially Cerritos for a better buying experience. Irvine Toyota was a joke at best. The 1 star for friendliness is for the sales manager, not Q. He really deserves to work at a dealership that actually wants to sell cars. More

Beautiful 2016 Honda Accord, everything was fine, I bought the extended warranty that covered exterior and interior damages INCLUDING WINDSHIELD PROTECTION. Fast forward 2 days after i bought the car, I wake up to a huge crack on my windshield. I check the carfax, apparently the windshield was replaced 10 days before I bought the car and was mounted wrong, causing the crack. I call Toyota and explain to them the issue then get transferred to some guy named JOE who was very rude, kept cutting me off and basically kept telling me it wasn't their problem because HONDA OF VALENCIA changed the windshield. I call Honda, they tell me the car was traded to Toyota (WHO IS ON MY CONTRACT) and they need to help me. I call them back, still rude, still unwilling to help me. I HAVE CALLED EVERY DAY FOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS. If I would have known what a headache it is to deal with these guys I would have never bought the warrant, xxxx, I WOULD HAVE NEVER BOUGHT THE CAR. I refuse to pay for the windshield that was mounted wrong and should be covered under my warranty regardless. I will be going to corporate as this has gotten RIDICULOUS. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Once they sell you your car, they disappear and refuse to help. More

The service advisor Manuel Moreno tried to over charge me for a oil change by 40$ saying it was 115$ for a simple oil change when I called back to get the price they told me oil change was only 74.95 which I remembered the last time I went there for oil change, being same price. then after I just had a 100k miles-$340- service they said I need 120k service only 20k miles later and that's $600 plus which is basically oil change and spark plugs. I waited 10 mins for anyone to even check me in or say anything to me. Then they told me I had to wait 45min to get a shuttle back to pick up my car when I was 3 mins away. I had to uber back to get my car. Customer service was basic if even up to standards. They say they give a 10% discount for being aaa but he didn't want to give it to me then finally did. Seems like they over Charge to make money and pretend to give a discount. This is the worst encounter I have ever had with a dealer and service department. And terrible “car wash” Would never recommend here. I would rather take it to jiffy lube. More
