bought a used 2011 Honda Civic in January from here that was "Autonation Certified", from the beginning it was making a strange whirring/humming sound but I thought that's just how the car was. I even got an oil change about 2-3 months after having the car and they inspected it and the only thing they called out was that I needed new front and rear brakes.(Which also should've been taken care of before I bought the car) I ended up going to another shop closer to where I live to get the brakes done, and they noted that my wheel bearings were so damaged that they were unsafe to drive on and that I only needed front brakes. The bearing was literally falling apart when the other shop showed it to me. I guess "Autonation Certified" doesn't really mean anything... More
Service advisor, James R. , may have been a recent hire & not yet comfortable in his role as a service advisor, however, I waited nearly 4 hours for a battery replacement even , may have been a recent hire & not yet comfortable in his role as a service advisor, however, I waited nearly 4 hours for a battery replacement even though I had a service appointment & provided the advisor with the hard copy invoice & warranty document for the Lifetime Free Replacement Battery Warranty I had purchased when I replaced a previous battery. In addition, when my battery was finally replaced, James did not provide me with an invoice verifying that my car battery had been replaced; I had to call him, after I returned home, to request that he e-mail me a copy of the invoice, which he did only after a second call to him. My previous experiences with Auto Nation Toyota Irvine have been very good; this last time, not so good. More

Went for my 5k or six month visit and Mark Anderson service advisor was helpful and my appointment went smoothly. Great customer service, excellent mechanics. I feel confident using their service department. I have taken my car to other mechanics and have had issues after service.
