Poor service, mechanics are liars. Dear Toyota, I was there Saturday, November 11, 2023. What a xxxxxxxxxxxxfor the amount of money I spent. I chose a car and color. The electric MkZ4 had 1% charge and I was told it would be charged to 10 What a xxxxxxxxxxxxfor the amount of money I spent. I chose a car and color. The electric MkZ4 had 1% charge and I was told it would be charged to 100% before I left. It was charged to 80%. I was told there were no superchargers at this location and this was the best that could be done in the four hours I was there buying a car. I was told that charging would be free for a year if I downloaded the app. I downloaded the app and the public charger that was listed as “in-network”, charged my credit card. When I saw the car, ( no test drive offered), there was a charging cable in the back. When I got home the charging cable was gone from the trunk. I was only given one key to the car. Apparently, there is a key shortage. The sales rep told me I would get a call and I could come pick it up. I told him I wanted it mailed to my house, he told me I had to come pick it up. I sit down with the finance guy and he asks me to write a five-star review of Toyota Hayward. He told me only five-star reviews are accepted. I felt pressured and uncomfortable. He was checking the website to see if it was posted while I was sitting there. I felt if I did not write a review, I would not be able to leave the dealership or be financed. This is a major problem, as Toyota had bought my car that I drove into the dealership with. The staff was overwhelmed the entire day I was there. I was there for four hours. At one point when I complained, the lot guy offered to walk me up Foothill Boulevard past the homeless crazy man to a Mexican grocery store. Pepper spray in purse, I walked alone. Never saw a female employee, just well-shaven men with hair hard gelled, and pants so tight I wondered if they could sit without popping a button or seam. It wasn’t until an employee looked at the paperwork and said “you live in San Leandro, you should have went to San Leandro store”, that I knew I was being scammed and taken advantage of on every level. I called Sunday asking for my charger and was told the salesman was out on a test drive and he would call me back. I did get a call, no message from a 510 number. I do not expect chocolates and tea, but when someone spends $30k in an afternoon, they expect to get what they pay for. A call back and a charger would be nice. More
