purchased extended service plan and was told that all service was covered and we would not have to pay anything extra for seven years. It turns out to be completely false our 30000 miles service cost alm service was covered and we would not have to pay anything extra for seven years. It turns out to be completely false our 30000 miles service cost almost $600. Will never purchase another car from AutioNation. Will probably take our car to be service at a different Toyota Dealer from now on. More
WOW! For once, we had an easy car buying experience with a dealership. We were in the market for the current generation RAV4 in Lunar Rock. The handful of dealerships we visited down here in Southern Cal a dealership. We were in the market for the current generation RAV4 in Lunar Rock. The handful of dealerships we visited down here in Southern California, had a ADM (Additional Dealer Markup) between $5,000-$10,000! In June, after browsing the internet for a few days, I saw that AN Toyota Hayward had one listed as 'coming soon'. I sent an inquiry and Diego N. responded. He let me know that the car was being allocated to them BUT was not built yet. He said that I was able to reserve it without leaving a deposit. He emailed me the specifications and upfront pricing which included the OTD price including sales tax for my home town. At that time, he was not able to give me an ETA until a few weeks later. He let us know that the car was being built on June 30 Each following week, he would call to give me a status update, which most of the time was nothing set in stone. His manager, Yi G. also reached out and let me know that there was no exact ETA, but let me know that he was open to answer any questions I had. Apparently, dealerships don't like 'cash buyers' so I was a bit hesitant to ask him questions regarding 'cash buying' process but since it was going to be quite a big purchase, I went ahead and asked and he responded professionally without beating around the bush In late July, we got word that the vehicle was in transit and would arrive to AN Hayward between August 10-15. Still, being a bit hesitant on exact arrival date AND pricing (we were afraid that AN would pull a bait and switch or add ADM last minute) because we did not leave a deposit (legally binding contract), we did not book our flight right away. We waited a few days and Yi was able to give us a more accurate arrival date. Again we waited another week to make sure there were no transit delays (seeing how we're still in COVID-19 times). Yi said it was scheduled to arrive on Sunday (08/08) or Monday (08/09) and we went ahead and booked flights for 12th (that would give them and us extra time incase there was a late minute delay). Diego and Yi assured us that there was no change in price, but did say that tax and any available rebate would change the price a bit but not by much. The day we arrived, we took a lyft to the dealership (Diego offered to have someone pick us up but we figured it was easier to just use ridesharing), only to find out that Diego was out on maternity leave (congrats bro!). His colleague, Mike S, helped us through the initial process and was just as honest as Diego. After a quick inspection and test drive, we went into finance with Harish M. Harish did what was part of his job. Offer financing, and extended warranty packages (it is how they make more commission) but once we told him that we were paying in full, he was respectful and did not pressure us into financing with their lenders. He proceeded with the purchase order and we let him know that we needed to go to the bank. He arranged a car for us and we were on the way to the bank. We came back, handed him the check, shook hands and went on your way back home to Southern California. I cannot thank these group of people enough for the easy buying process and experience. More
