I purchased my car at this dealership and I have always come here for service. I decided to go to a different Toyota dealership to service my car one time but I didn’t like it. So I went back to AutoNat come here for service. I decided to go to a different Toyota dealership to service my car one time but I didn’t like it. So I went back to AutoNation Toyota Hayward for service. There are many service advisors at this dealership but Heidi Brogan is the best. I really like her approach. She sets a high standard for excellent customer service. Heidi will tell you what is recommended, what has been done in the past and what services are overdue. She lets you know what services can be skipped today and completed for the next visit. Heidi is very thorough. She will also send you pictures and answer any questions you might have. If the rating scale maximum is 5 for excellent, I’ll rate Heidi Brogan a 10, for superb! More
During my recent service visit, I was informed that I need to replace my “front shock absorbers” as they are "off-market" parts. I was surprised, as I had replaced it at AutoNation Toyota, Hayward, two need to replace my “front shock absorbers” as they are "off-market" parts. I was surprised, as I had replaced it at AutoNation Toyota, Hayward, two years ago and paid for the original Toyota OEM parts. I spoke to “Bryant Macias”, the service representative who replaced the “front shock absorbers”. He confirmed that it was an original Toyota OEM part based on the records. Question: 1) If it is an original OEM part, why did it go bad in 2 years? An "off-market" part, which is much cheaper last for more than 2 years. 2)What is the point in buying expensive OEM parts if their quality is worse than off-market parts I escalated the issue to “Carlos” (Bryant's manager). He agreed to inspect the vehicle to validate if it was indeed an OEM part. The inspection was inconclusive as we DID NOT see any part number on the “front Shock” absorber, which matched with the record. “Carlos” agreed to speak to Toyota OEM and get me a replacement. After innumerable calls and follow-ups after 1 month, "Carlos" informs me that Toyota OEM is not ready to replace the parts. He also mentioned that as I was a loyal customer he would take care of the labor cost and I have to pay for the part, which costs $400 Question: 1. What is the confidence that replacing a new OEM part will not break within 2 years? 2. Auto Nation, Hayward should have taken this issue more seriously as this creates doubts in the customer's mind on the quality of OEM parts, which they are paying heavily for ! During my interaction with Bryant Macias/Carlos in the past 2 months, I found them highly irresponsible in dealing with the customer. I have to follow up with them multiple times on the status. After every call, they mentioned that they would call me back "by EoD/ By Friday/ next week etc" with the status but never have they called me even once in the past 2 months. This is quite frustrating and unexpected from Auto Nation Toyota representatives who call them customer-focused I am still waiting for “Carlos/Bryant” to get a final resolution for the issue. More
