The last 2 times I have been to this dealership, I have had to wait an unusual amount of time. The first time I waited 5 hours for a safety inspection. This time I waited 4 hours for an oil change, windshi had to wait an unusual amount of time. The first time I waited 5 hours for a safety inspection. This time I waited 4 hours for an oil change, windshield wipers, tire rotation, an alignment. When I called to make an appointment the person reassured me they had a new manager and it would be done in an hour and a half. The appointment was delayed from the beginning when I had to wait for the service manager until I complained that if he didn’t come I was leaving. He finally came after 30 minutes of waiting. He then told me it would be 2 hours. I waited 2 hours only to be told it wasn’t ready. Now I had left my husband at home. He is in a wheelchair and I am his only caregiver as well as the fact I needed oxygen. So they sent me home in their passenger van. The car was ready in an hour but I had to picked up and brought back to the dealership making it a 4 hour wait time . I will not return to the dealership due to the time spent on service calls, the prices, and because more than half of the staff were maskless as were half of their customers, and due to Toyota’s political views. More
On July 30, 2021, I went to have my Scion IQ serviced by Hector Rivas the "assistant manager". Mr. Rivas tried to persuade me to spend around $1580.00 car services/repairs for a routine check up via text r Hector Rivas the "assistant manager". Mr. Rivas tried to persuade me to spend around $1580.00 car services/repairs for a routine check up via text rather than walking up to me and telling me (which is such lazy "service"). In any case, I agreed to spend around $600.00 for services, and he assured me that all work would be completed in one and half hours. After 2 hours waiting and not receiving any "texts" from him, I walked over to Mr. Rivas work area only to find out that he left for an family emergency and would not be returning. What a joke. Long story short, Justin was able to assist me and discount the costs which was very kind him. I will not be coming back to AutoNation Toyota Gulf Freeway Service Center any time soon. I was greeted and waited a few minutes until Pablo my service advisor came out and was very nice and asked what service I was needing. Oil change only and informed of how long it will take. Their customer care is top notch. I spoke to my service advisor Thomas because 1hr and 20 minutes had passed for my routine (normally 35-45 minutes at my original dealer) and he then spoke to his manager, advisor Thomas because 1hr and 20 minutes had passed for my routine (normally 35-45 minutes at my original dealer) and he then spoke to his manager, David. David came over and I explained to me that they had a safety meeting scheduled. He was also nice enough to offer a complimentary service. This is how management solves problems that arise. Because of Thomas and David, I will be back to this location rather than where I purchased my Tacoma. Thank you gentlemen. More
