Came for a 60k maintenance which I was told was $600 only to find out now it was over $700 with the new owners. I was greeted by: “I understand you have a coupon” so I guess they knew my name? Said my car wo to find out now it was over $700 with the new owners. I was greeted by: “I understand you have a coupon” so I guess they knew my name? Said my car would be done between 2-3. Got a call back from Spencer around 3 that brake pads needed replacing. Seemed a bit odd as I just had 4 tires put on about 1000 miles before and they didn’t notice it then. $299 for that which is the top of the price range. I had a 25% off coupon that was mailed to me. He told me car would be ready about 4:30. Got there and waited until 5:20 and finally left without my car. Paid $876. Neither of my visits to service offered an update of any maintenance issues or what they did for the amount of $ I paid. Seemed a bit slimy. I just bought my first Subaru but the service is not impressive. I will need to read my invoice to find out what I paid for. Have always had Toyota and Lexus products and service and their service levels are 3 steps above this. I will have a hard time going back. More

I was generally pleased with my service appointment. Advisor Charles Francis was excellent. I have two concerns: 1) The car wash was the worst I have ever seen. Charles the service advisor is outstanding! We were visitng the Hilton Head Island area and had an issue with a tire. He knew exactly what needed to be done and made it happen. Charles (our Service host) is absolutely wonderful! Great personality, listens, ....concerned. The wait in the lobby wasn't as pleasant. We had to wait almost 2 hours, which is ok, we'd kinda planned on staying a while. We assumed the TV in the lobby was for customers to watch during their wait rather than staff. My husband is a veteran and hard of hearing. The TV remote control was left out in the lobby, and rather than turning the TV volume up to a level that would disturb other customers, I turned on the closed caption so my husband could understand what was being said.( The channel was on a home improvement project. I didn't change channel.) Soon after I turned on the closed caption, an employee (im not sure his name) took the remote out of the lobby and complained about the "words on the bottom " he looked right at me and rather than asking me to turn off the closed caption or politely telling me the TV was for employees instead of customers, he just walked around muttering something about the words not being there before. He asked someone else to come take a look at it to get those words off the bottom of the screen, but that person said they couldn't help. Normally I would have confessed to him and offered to change it back, but decided I'd rather my husband be able enjoy the program during our wait rather than an employee that should be more concerned about customer service than "words on the bottom of the tv". My apologies if I overstepped boundaries. Let me know if I need to come back to turn off the closed caption. Thanks and Happy New Year! More
