We made an appointment thru the national service phone number for the anti-theft software update after calling the dealer directly and being given incorrect information. The local dealer phone line said H number for the anti-theft software update after calling the dealer directly and being given incorrect information. The local dealer phone line said Hyundai had not yet come up with the software fix for my car and to wait for Hyundai corporate to send another letter. When I called corporate they were able to schedule the fix at the local dealer for first thing the next day. We took my call in and my mother’s Santa Fe for the update. I was expecting the dealer to install the window sticker that the fix had been completed as described in the letter from corporate, but that did not happen. Additionally, the dealer tried to upsell mother’s low milage, newer car an injection which she did not need. Then with my car they said after the inspection that the air pressure in my tires was at the recommended 35 lbs. but on the way home my husband checked it and all four tires were at 31 lbs. So we are not sure if they checked things out or not; just a lot of very expensive suggestions like $30 cabin filter on Amazon for $95 dealer installed. We are not super happy and just hope they really did do the software update! More
I had an appointment on 08/18/23 to have the ambient/mood lighting strip on the passenger’s door of my 2020 Sonata Limited checked since it was not functioning. Ashley C. was my service professional and she lighting strip on the passenger’s door of my 2020 Sonata Limited checked since it was not functioning. Ashley C. was my service professional and she could not have been more helpful. She explained I would need to leave my car for about 3 days for repair personnel to evaluate it and fix it. I thought it was a repair that could be done while I waited, and I wasn’t prepared to be without my car for three days at that time. Ashley kindly explained their service department was getting the overflow of work from other repair facilities that were booked 2-3 months out. I told her I’d take her card and would schedule the repair at a later date when I could be without my car for a few days. I was fortunate in that the issue was strictly cosmetic and didn’t interfere with the operation of my car. Ashley gave me her card and then asked if she could take my car for a few minutes so the mechanic could verify any parts that might be needed to be ordered for it so the work could be done at this location vs. needing to send it to the main facility. I sat in the clean, comfortable waiting area and after about 10 minutes Ashley returned with my keys and said the problem with the lighting strip had been fixed! Apparently it had somehow come unplugged in the door card and just needed to be plugged back in. The icing on the cake was that there was no service charge! Had Ashley not been kind enough and proactive enough to have my car given an initial check, I would have been without a car for three days waiting to have it repaired. I cannot thank Ashley enough for her professionalism, kindness, and amazing customer service!! More

Communication kinda sucks. They had my car for nearly a month and still never finished the technical requested work. When I pointed out how long they had my car, they were quick to release it and promise to contact me when they had a rental vehicle available, but I’m two weeks past and haven’t received any word. My car still isn’t fixed and while they were polite, it felt like the only way to get my car worked on was to be pushy, and being nice just got me walked over. My cruise control still doesn’t work More

I chose to call and schedule my repair instead of doing it online to avoid any miscommunication about the required work and to ensure I had all the necessary information before my visit. I also inquired ab it online to avoid any miscommunication about the required work and to ensure I had all the necessary information before my visit. I also inquired about adding an item that was listed as a recall, but was informed that it couldn't be addressed for at least 3 months. I was quite impressed by their ability to accommodate me within just 10 days. Although it's unfortunate that 10 days is considered a short wait, compared to the 1 to 2 months that other dealerships were quoting for availability, the 10-day timeframe was actually quite remarkable. When I arrived I communicated the exact same thing I did to the scheduler. I was asked if I was leaving my car for the next 2 days? He said, those are our schedulers and they know nothing that is going on here. I was shocked as I was told that the parts would be in stock and that it would be no issue to do it while I waited. I was informed, quite rudely, that it would take 4 hours bare minimum if they had the parts and if my warranty was approved. So, I got cozy and waited. I wasn't surprised when I received a text with all of the things the dealerships believed I should do on my car. Many maintenance items that weren't fully needed yet based on the age, mileage, wear, etc of my car. I came in for the repair after a local tire shop saw some abnormal wear and tear. They had given me a quote to repair the issue. I was quite shocked to see the price difference between the tire shop and AutoNation Hyundai. It was triple the price from the tire shop. If it wasn't for my warranty I wouldn't have had the work done at AutoNation. The one bright side, they did completely the item that was under recall. I told him that the scheduler said it couldn't be added. He said it is correct that we can't do those items solo for a few months because of how busy we are but there's no reason that we can't add them if we are doing another repair. More
