I purchased my 2007 Verzcruz from Hyundai of Tempe new. I live in Queen Creek, which is quite a distance from the dealer. I drive the extra miles because I have faith and trust in my service advisor, Mr. Aldrich. He has been helpful and honest with us and that is what is important to us. We will hopefully be keeping our Veracruz for several more years, but either way, the first dealer we will go to when it is time to go "car shopping" will be Hyunai of Tempe. PS. I'm sure the "new and improved" waiting lounge will be wonderful. More

Ryan was very friendly as were most of the staff I encountered over 3 visits. However, your service department leaves much to be desired and I will be avoiding it at all costs in the future unless I n encountered over 3 visits. I brought my 2001 Sonata in because the door locks weren't working; either from the interior switch or with the remote. Also, there was a "grinding" noise coming from the left rear door (behind the driver) whenever I tried to lock the car. Additionally, my "check engine" light was on. All of this was communicated to Ryan when I called to schedule my appt on the 18th and again when I arrived on Nov. 19th. (The shuttle service promised was wonderful, though I didn't get the driver's name.) Ryan phoned me to say I needed an actuator. He said the check engine light was diagnosed as misfiring on a cylinder and said I needed new plugs and wires. I authorized both repairs. The shuttle driver called me a few hours later to say my car was finished and he was coming to get me. I arrived and was told it was "all fixed" and taken to the cashier area where I paid. Then Ryan walked me to my car, where the driver door was already open, and I left. Upon arriving at my next destination, I got out and used the remote to lock my car....the grinding noise was still there! I tried the remote button again. The driver door locked and unlocked but none of the others did. I then checked the interior switch, it was still totally non-functional for any of the doors. I immediately called Ryan and told him the repairs were not done as he had stated. He apologized, said he didn't understand how that happened and said I could bring the car back on Monday at 8:30. He also stated that I would be provided with a "loaner" at that time so I would not again be without a car rather than bring it back in the next day when none were available. I arrived Monday at 8:30 and was told "there are no loaners available, do you really need one?" When I reminded him that the appt was made for Monday at his request because he had no loaners available on Saturday, he said he'd "see what he could do." Additionally, he kept saying that "the tech said there was no noise and it was probably an intermittent problem..." That was a blatant lie unless the tech is VERY hard of hearing! The noise was NOT intermittent but constant and had been present every time I tried to lock or unlock the car for over 3 months. They just never bothered to check the other doors or even look at the interior switch. If you are going to say it's repaired and charge people, you need to confirm it. Especially if it involves multiple parts like 4 doors, not just one. Ryan eventually produced a loaner and I left. In his voicemail a couple hours later he said I needed another actuator and some relays to fix the problem. I authorized the repairs, returned tha loaner and picked up the car today, Tuesday. After verifying with David that all 4 doors locked and unlocked with both the remote and interior switch, I paid and left. I don't mind paying for things to be repaired, I do mind having to make multiple trips to do so. It wasn't Ryan's fault that it wasn't but I still feel I need to give the ratings I did in view of the lack of attention to detail and poor customer service provided by the original service tech. This is unacceptable...period. More

It acheives 34 mpg on the highway cruising at 75 mph and 27 mpg in mixed driving, and that is with the 3.3 V6 engine! It has been reliable and trouble-free from day one and I would recommend a Hyundai vehicle and Tempe Hyundai to anyone...It is not only a great value, it is a well built vehicle that competes favorably with much more expensive cars. David Aldrich, my Service Advisor at Tempe Hyundai, and the Tempe Hyundai Service Team have performed all of the routine maintenance right the first time, in a timely fashion, and without any hidden add-ons or unnecessary service and parts, at a fair price. Upon arriving at the dealership for my online service appointment I was met by a Service Advisor who, when learning that I was looking for Donna immediatly directed me to her area inside. After walking around my vehicle & checking for any damage & that all the lights were working they took it back to be serviced. I was very pleased with the whole experience. After seeing which light was lit up, the agent checked my gas tank cap to make sure it was secure which it was. Agent then told me it would be approximately 2 hours to look at and fix the problem, and in 2 hours I was out the door with problem fixed and no charge since it was under my warranty.
