Customer service agents pleasant and courteous. The only drawback is waited three hours for a scheduled tire rotation and 15000 mile warranty servicing. The only drawback is waited three hours for a scheduled tire rotation and 15000 mile warranty servicing. More
I am going to try to be graceful here. I come from a five generation small business automotive family. I have worked all the way through the pandemic in the service industry and what I jus I come from a five generation small business automotive family. I have worked all the way through the pandemic in the service industry and what I just went through to get my car fixed is nothing short of not acceptable.( For a dead battery mind you) All it would have taken is a phone call. I had my car towed to them. I asked for them to call me or email me. I gave them nothing short of 15 phone calls over 5 days and 4 emails asking just for an update. First I was told by the first person told me 24-48 hours maximum. I got to the service department the gentleman told me he most likely had the battery in stock, if not he would get one from one of the parts stores and I should have my car back within that time frame shouldn't be a problem. I asked him if I needed to sign a work order? NOPE.. I left. THEN.. I get an email telling me they recommend that I should have an approximate 1800 dollar brake repair..why are you looking at my brakes when I just asked for a battery repair? Brakes are not under the hood of my car?! My husband calls them tells them no. Just fix the battery and replace the air filter... So this is day two. Day three I call and ask if my car is ready. All day I can get in touch with no one. At the end of the day they are gone and I have to talk to a sales person who tells me they can't locate my car. This is where I panic.. They are closed the next day.. I call back on Monday and then am told that I have to wait 7-10 days for my "diagnostician" to diagnose my problem and he is off that day? WAIT WHAT?!.. then.I am told that they can replace my battery with a Hyundai battery for approximately 200 dollars but it will be 2-4 day wait, or they can order an " After Market" battery for an ADDITIONAL 240 dollars.. I asked what do you mean and after market battery is more than a Hyundai battery.. They have to drive down the street to pick it up.. But they can put it in that day!! So this Dealership hijacked my car for almost 6 days and charged me almost 500 dollars for a battery from an autozone yall... BEWARE!!! Q was the only person who was sympathetic and took the time to listen. I will give that young salesman xxxxxxfor trying to at least find out what was going on. He wasn't even involved in it. And the General Manager should give him a reward. I know that people are short staffed but it doesn't take that much effort to respond to an email or return a phone call. They need someone in the service department that its their main job. It would go a long way to fixing half of their problem.. SUGGESTING MR. GENERAL MANAGER. More
Terrible experiences on three occasions, I had the car towed into Savannah Hyundai on Dec. 21,2021 due to warning chimes and message saying to shut off the engine immediately. The first time this happened towed into Savannah Hyundai on Dec. 21,2021 due to warning chimes and message saying to shut off the engine immediately. The first time this happened, three years prior we realized that computer upgrades had to be performed. We had it towed 80 miles to Westley Chapel, Hyundia. in Florida, where surprisingly they upgraded the computer on a SUNDAY in one hour and we were extremely happy to be on our way. This time, the Savannah dealer wasn't able to get to it until January 6th. and finished it on 01/10/ 22. Note on the invoice stated that tires are 4/32" & 6/32 ". I told service advisor, 6788, Robert Katzman Jr. that they were only one month old and 1,400 miles 0on them could he bring out a depth gauge and measure them/ He and I measured 9/32" & 10/32, My trust in the dealer was lost at that point but being a Hybrid I know it has to be upgraded by a Hyundia dealer. Early June I couldn't schedule an appointment on-line for a 90,000 mile service, so I went and asked for one. They said earliest appointment would be October 10th. so I scheduled it. About two months later I had to make a 3,000 mile round trip, so I asked if I could schedule an earlier appointment for an oil change, they couldn't but stated that if I arrive at 0700 I could wait 3 or 4 hours and have it done. The next day I was first in line at the service entrance (0645) when Rob arrived he asked what I needed , Told him oil change. He said I would have to have appointment. told him the info I received the prior day, didn't matter. next incident The battery charging light came on . I dropped it off on Aug.9,2022, called a few times, messages were never returned (2), I drove over there one day to personally ask the status, after waiting 15 mins. for someone to acknowledge me, Rob walked by saying he would be back in a few minutes. I waited another 20 minutes and finally left totally frustrated. I received a call on August 25th saying the car was done and picked it up the next day. With all due respect, the dealer seems to be extremely short on service tects and advisors. I live 22 miles away and It takes some planning to leave the car just to get the oil changed. Not at all trusting of the tech pushing tires and certainly not happy with the scheduling time for appointments, More
This was the absolute worst experience I have had with my Genesis. I went in because the ABS light would not go off. I called in August to see if I could get in and was told that the next available appointme Genesis. I went in because the ABS light would not go off. I called in August to see if I could get in and was told that the next available appointment would not be until March. Totally unacceptable. I got it in but had to wait for the part to come in which was about 2 weeks. Luckily I did have another form of transportation that I could use. When I got it back and drove it from the dealership to I-19 and parked, my passenger side window began making noise and would not fold out. After having my vehicle for more than 2 weeks, something else goes wrong, not to mention I had just forked out almost $1200. I took it back the next day to find out what was wrong and of course it is never something that they have done. But if I brought my car in and the window was working fine, why is something else wrong. I am not trying to keep your service department employed by fixing my car. Now I was told that the motor and the whole side mirror had to be replaced. Another $1000 or so. This was going back and forth and my frustration level has increased. Finally, I just had them order the part. When I got back into my car the ABS light came back on. I just had this fixed not 3 days ago. The response I got from the service department was we fixed the right side but now it might be the left side that might not be working. Unacceptable. Why didn't you check the entire system while it was there? They did give me a loaner so that I could get home. I live in Allenhurst, GA and this dealership is in Savannah, GA not an easy commute in traffic after a days work. I get the loaner and had to put gas in it because it would only go 60 miles!!!! When I get home and talk with my husband, I text around 3:30pm (because if you call you probably won't get an answer) to tell them that I will pick up my car tomorrow after I get off work. I get a reply around 5pm saying that they need the loaner back that night since they were not doing any work and the sales floor closes at 7pm. I live about an hour away without traffic. I did get the vehicle back. When I got to the dealership, I stood around and no one even asked what I needed or anything. A salesman walked by and I asked him could I get the keys to my car. This is when the man that was so engulfed in his computer screen looked up and asked if I was the one returning the loaner. Yes!!!! At this point AutoNation of Savannah has lost a valued customer. We have purchased several vehicles from this Hyundai dealership and have recommended several people to them at this point, AutoNation of Savannah can have this vehicle back!!!! Without a trade-in and without any other recommendations from me. More
After an encouraging phone conversation with a really nice guy in Florida. I get up early and arrive at he dealership in savannah. I was told it would take 10 to 12 days for anyone to even call me with a nice guy in Florida. I get up early and arrive at he dealership in savannah. I was told it would take 10 to 12 days for anyone to even call me with a diagnosis! Then I guess another 10 days or so, to repair it. I explained that my lights were going on and off and the CD player no longer worked. There was NO real customer service there. I was told how backlogged they were with no seeming interest in what an inconvenience not having my car for 21 days might mean for me....I hate going down there and have sought other servers instead...except for this, I thought the dealership was the way to go. The guy could have cared less. I am 77 years old and I have never seen such disinterest and unconcern. Finally asked for my keys back and drove my car home...unrepaired. A safety issue....we will see. More
My 4 year old plugin hybrid stopped working, I had to pay for tow and taxi rides to find out what was going on.
