I called for an appointment in June. Was told it would not be until the 20th of July. No problem. Dealership was short staffed. A couple of days before the appointment I received a call saying they only would have 1 technician so could I reschedule to the 28th of July. It was to be the same time of 9am. I arrived a little early. I did not get the gentleman's name who changed my appointment. When I was checking in I was told that there was nothing scheduled for me. I explained what I had been told so the gentleman told me he would fit me in. I asked how long of a wait and was told about 1 hour or a little more. Again no problem. The problem began when after the hour plus time I started asking about my car. Was it done? Simple oil change. Nothing more. He said he would check but never got back to me. Again I waited. Now it was going on to an hour and 45 minutes. While I was waiting where you check in a gentleman came out, he looked kind of important. He asked the fellas behind the desk how things were going. So I thought he must be the boss. I asked if he was, he told me he was the manager. So I explained to him about my car and so he started the search. They could find no paperwork relating to my car, they could not find the technician who worked on my car and they couldn't find my car either. I asked the gentleman if he lost my car and he was rather rude and told me to hold on he was doing the best to figure out the situation. After that he went to all the employees to see if they could tell him anything. Still the paperwork wasn't there which I had signed in the beginning. No one could find it. He finally asked what car was it. I explained it was a 2018 Tuscon, grey in color. He went out the door where the cars are placed after being serviced. He had gone to see about the keys in another room. Found mine and asked it these were the right keys. When he had gone outside, guess what! There was my car. All washed and ready to go. I understand that these are probably new technicians working on cars but come on, how can you let a customer waiting for their car to be returned and not know that its outside and all done. By the time all this transpired it was 2 hours. I should have been out of there probably an hour sooner. There is no excuse for this kind of service. After they finally got paperwork printed up and I signed for my car's release, not one of these gentlemen apologized for what happened. That was the icing on the cake!!!! Invoice Number 781649 More
Here is my honest recap of my July 25th visit to AutoNation Hyundai for an oil change. Allow me to provide some background. I purchase my vehicle there in 2011. I had it serviced their 100% of t AutoNation Hyundai for an oil change. Allow me to provide some background. I purchase my vehicle there in 2011. I had it serviced their 100% of the time, even after the various warranties expired. In the years prior to 2020, I noticed that I went in for an oil change and walked out with $500 or more in repairs. EVERY SINGLE TIME! I finally was fed up, wrote a bad review and swore I would never come back. They called me and begged me to come back and take down the review. After swearing they would only give me the service that I came in for, I relented. I was actually happy to go there again. Flash forward to July 25, 2022. I didn’t recognize one face in the entire facility. It’s like they cleaned house or something with the former staff. After checking in, I sat in the waiting area, expecting at most a 20 minute wait. ONE HOUR LATER, the service clerk comes in to talk to me about a few issues. He told me my car required services such as new coolant, new belts, new parts for my air conditioning system, wheel alignment, tire rotation, etc., etc., etc. What he went over literally cost thousands of dollars. When he asked me which services they could do for me today, I responded none to his amazement. He said “Really?” I responded “Really!” He walked away. When it came time to pay, another service person called me up to finish my transaction. The original service clerk came over and told me “You really should consider having some of those services performed because it could affect….” At that point, I cut him off and told him the truth I was holding onto. I was in a car accident on April 1. My entire front end was smashed in and looked like an accordion. It was the other driver’s fault. Their insurance paid for everything and my car was literally restored so well that people asked me if I bought a new car. Everything, and I mean everything, was brand new. I received my car back in early May. After telling him this fact, I asked the clerk “Are you seriously going to tell me that, in less than three months, all these horrible things are wrong with brand new parts and fluids that were installed in my car? Also, I bought my tires at Discount Tires. They offer free tire rotation for as long as you own the tires! I rotate them every 6,000 miles. They never imply that anything is wrong with my car…..they just perform the service I requested and I leave with no bill!” The service clerk, to my amazement, responded “Well, that’s what the mechanic told me.” I literally did what everyone who has been conned by a car dealership wanted to do. I called them on their BS with proof that they were lying. My car did NOT need any of the repairs the service clerk brought to my attention. I gave them a chance and returned. Now I am walking away forever. In my opinion, only a fool would go to AutoNation Hyundai to get their car serviced. That is my honest take on my July 25th eye opening oil change appointment. More
