I took my car in yesterday for a checkup…. change oil, rotate tires,etc. I was extremely pleased with service man, Albert, He was so kind, helpful and understanding with me. My husband recently passed and there are some chores I have fallen heir to not knowing how to do. Albert was super nice to help me. The shop itself is very nice…..clean and comfortable!!! I had a factory recall and scheduled it for the same, the wait time was 3 hours for a VCU unit, I bought the car from the same dealership like 6 months ago, so the sales agent saw and offered a free detailin wait time was 3 hours for a VCU unit, I bought the car from the same dealership like 6 months ago, so the sales agent saw and offered a free detailing. I waited for more than 2 hours for the detailing to find that my car was not cleaned even 30% and when i checked with the service rep he said detailing is a seperate unit and this doesn't come under them, Also I had my LED cover broken before but the LED lights were still functioning, but after the service and detailing the front bumper LED lights were not working. Faced with a 13-year-old Genesis Coupe presented for its 150K scheduled maintenance, the Service Department was challenged to keep the vehicle operational. Ultimately, 3 months, and $3000 later they declared the vehicle unrepairable. Dustin Nelson, the Service Manager, was excellent through this very trying repair. But in the end, we were left with a worthless trade-in and no car. Saying we were not happy, would be an understatement!! As repeat customers to this dealership, we through ourselves on their mercy, and scanned the inventory for something we could afford that could give us service for another 10 years. We settled on a used 2022 Sonata Hybrid Limited. Jodi Grutadaurio was assigned the unenviable task of working with us. She was magnificent!!! Overall, we are satisfied with the experience. This will be the 5 vehicle we have purchased for this dealership. We have been loyal service customers since 2010 and have had only 2 instances that required escalation. In both case Dustin Nelson resolved the matter to our satisfaction. We are disappointed that the mechanics working on the car took three failed parts to determine the root cause of the problem, which added to the costs. We are very disappointed that the upper management was not even willing to consider lowering the price of the car to offset our investment in the failed repair. While they did provide a reasonable trade-in value for the inoperable vehicle, and favorable terms for Hyundai Motor Finance, under the circumstances, given our loyalty to this dealership, we did expect a lot more consideration. We mourn the loss of an iconic vehicle. The Genesis Coupe was one of a kind and Genesis is missing the boat by discontinuing the model. We look forward to a new era in the Sonata Hybrid, but a 4-door sedan will never be the same. We will continue to be loyal Hyundai customers for many years to come. More
