Had a rat chew a wire on our brand new palisade connected to the radar. Cruise control stopped working. We have a full maintenance warranty. You could see the wire from the front bumper. Took two months to g to the radar. Cruise control stopped working. We have a full maintenance warranty. You could see the wire from the front bumper. Took two months to get an appointment. After two hours of making my wife wait after she showed up first thing in the morning, they said it was not covered by the warranty and would cost 500 dollars! I told her to come home and not pay. I took the front bumper off myself and spliced the wire in 45 minutes. It works like brand new now. This dealer does not care to take care of their customers and grossly inflates their maintenance charges. Either they are incompetent or just sinister in their motivations. More
I purchased my Elantra last year along with the service plan for oil changes. Upon appointment, the service department informed us that this program started after 30 months, that is not correct, but they plan for oil changes. An appointment to essentially get an oil change took over four weeks. Then, when this was completed at the dealers, the service agent on my car went missing in action, adding at least 30 minutes to what was four weeks. The dealership desperately needs a service manager who will tighten up the system. More
